How big are these? I just bought a different set and they were tiny

There are a variety of star sizes from dime sized to golf ball size. The planets and moons are all big enough to fill an adult hand. They are great and come with PLENTY of sticky stuff

Will a black light charge these stars so they glow?

Excellent question Briana - YES, a black light will super-charge the glow intensity for sure!!!

How are these mounted to the ceiling?

I sewed them onto a wizards robe for a Halloween costume. If you want to affix them to the ceiling you will have to buy separately a double stick tape.
