Is this polish good for silverware? Is silver cream better for silverware?

The Silver Cream would be recommended if you use the silverware on a regular basis.

Would this work well on gold plated muscial instruments? If not, do you recommend one that would?

Sorry to say don't play a musical instrument and can't say it would work well on a "gold plated" one. A friend of mine (who plays in a symphony) says the following; 1) Never use a silver polish on the gold plated instrument. It wears down the "gold plate" to the silver metal. 2) Use a "John Ogilbee's fine anti-tarnish bag" in the instrument's case. "Protect" the silver plating (beneath the gold is the key). 3) After each use, don't need anything more than routine wipe-downs and the occasional bath. Hope it helps.

Can this be used on jewlery? I have a necklace that is tarnished.

Anything sterling or part silver is what the polish is used for....The polish is better for items with many details, grooves, etc. than the paste polishes. The liquid can be easily rubbed and wiped off. Pastes get stuck in grooves and can harden with time and are nearly impossible to get out of tiny folds. Cotton is best for application and rubbing -- don't try nylon or polyester!

Can you use this cleaner Sterling Silver Jewelry with semi precious stones / Opals ?

We would only recommend using a polishing cloth on pieces that contain semi previous stones including opals.
