Evans PURESOUND Super 30 Series Snare Wire, 30 Strand, 13 Inch - S1330

Wasn’t sure what to expect but wow made my snare sound amazing I would recommend for sure.

Perfect product. Exactly what I needed

I am usually a "less is more" kind of guy but I thought I'd give this wide 30 strand product a try just for kicks. Man, am I glad I did! This thing woke up my moderately-priced 13 inch Crush snare! It isn't my personal set (I play the church drums) so the modification I can do is limited. After installing these wires I was pleased to find my light hits registering with full "tch" and no buzz making it easier to play with ghost notes and deepen the dynamics of my playing. The product seems well built and strong with heavy ends and good welds. I'd buy again for my personal snares. Note: The 13 inch strands are for a 13 inch drum. They are not 13 inches long. I felt it was worth mentioning after reading some reviews from disappointed buyers.

My 13” ddrum used to have a 20-wire snare and was decently loud, but the snares wore out (one even broke). I grabbed this on a whim to check its sound and have since had several venues turn the volume of the snare microphone down to compensate. This thing is LOUD. It also comes with braided nylon straps for the retention hardware, and those are really solid. Don’t remember how much I paid, but it’s well worth the money.

I'll be honest, I didn't REALLY understand what articulation was until I got this bad boy. This snare wire is fantastic! The ability to play as loud or soft as I want and still get that "snare" sound is limitless. It truly has great sounding snap at low volumes. I love this 30 strand Snare Wire! I would buy again and again and will!

I noticed that another reviewer said that these didn't fit his 13" Pork Pie snare. I just put these on a Pork Pie Percussion USA Custom Patina Drum 7 X 13 snare. They fit fine. You get strings for connecting them. I used the mylar strips from the stock snare wires. You can cut up an old drum head to make strips. I had a Supraphonic that I put some Puresound snare wires on. I have only tried this brand, but I like them.
