Darice Iwata-Medea Replacement Airbrush Needle, Silver, 0.5mm

I needed a replacement after bending my prior needle. This worked same as the original and is doing good.

I don't remember exactly how I picked the Amazon Marketplace vendor I got - Embellish FX - but I lucked out: the people at Embellish FX packed my replacement needle very expertly, very professionally. Iwata's original packaging for replacement needles is a long, skinny rectangular plastic bubble mounted on an equally long, skinny piece of cardboard; the Embellish folks rubber-banded this whole assembly to a fairly large (about 5"x7") piece of corrugated cardboard, and put it in a bubble-cushioned plastic envelope. That's the time-tested, old-school way of shipping something delicate, and it worked great: no crushing, no bending, no loose product flopping around in a torn box or whatever. So sorry to hear one reviewer's tale of the needle being loose in a bag... it must have been a different vendor. Addressing some of the other reviews: I would recommend doing a little research on Iwata's website to find the exact part number for the needle you need for your airbrush. Iwata makes a lot of different models, and the needles are not universally interchangeable. Find and download the manual for your particular airbrush; there is a chart on the last page of each manual listing the models in the series (Eclipse in my case) that will give you the part number.

Although it's annoying you have to buy this larger needle separately, it gives a whole new array of options for the HP-CS brush, and is invaluable for basecoating larger models. I'd definitely recommend this nozzle set if you're going to try and spray metallics as well, it will save you the headache of unclogging your nozzle every 5 seconds.
