Update 6/26/26 3 star to 5 star: I've since realized I had my HPF on my DSP set incorrectly. Mine was 100hz 6dB/slope instead of 160hz 24dB/slope. So essentially it was playing much lower frequencies at higher power than it was designed which was my fault. The interesting thing is they never sounded distorted or like they were hitting xmax and bottoming out. So long story short, make sure you set the HPF correctly and don't force it to play <100hz at high power. At least, this is my best guess as to what happened without tearing the spider apart to look at the connections to the voice coil. Original: These sounded awesome until both suddenly died within a couple weeks of eachother. There must be a hairline fracture on the tinsel lead connection under the spider because if I push the cone down a millimeter it starts playing beautifully again. I was well under the 250W RMS rating, I was pushing around 135-150W and they never sounded distorted or anything else that would tell me they were about to go until they just stopped mid song without warning.

This is my third vehicle ordering these speakers. There louder then other products I’ve tried but you don’t lose that quality. The fit was perfect for my 2019 Ram with there universal kit. I’m surprised there not more expensive, you get everything you need.

I am very pleased with the FIRST one I bought. It is rare to find such high sensitivity with a 4ohm driver. I used it as a replacement for a normal average performance driver in a small Behringer practice amp and it transformed it into a small gigging combo with surprising output. I probably would have ordered another pair to replace my old Fane made big cat 8inch drivers but supplier is out of stock for the foreseeable future. I may have to try a different make like bass face if they have a similar 4ohm driver. UPDATE 18/05/2018 Amazon had a USED one for sale with supposedly cosmetic damage for about £9 less than official price... since it is rare these become available I figured worth a punt if they are telling the truth. The parcel arrived as expected, well packaged, but internally the original box showed significant damage suggesting it had been hit and partially crushed by something heavy. The speaker has a significant distortion of the mounting edge at one of the holes with it being pushed back nearly 2mm meaning that unless it can be repaired it will not seat flat against the front baffle of an enclosure and therefore not seal AND could result in the cone being pulled out of alignment in use. It should have been more honestly described and the price should have been significantly reduced not by just under a 3rd. As it may not perform to original spec even if it can be repaired! I'm leaving the rating at 5 stars as an as new item is fine... just this "used" one was significantly below par and miss-described.
