KILMAT 80 Mil (2 mm) 36 Sqft (3.4 Sqm) Car Sound Deadening Mat, Alubutyl Automotive Sound Deadener, Audio Noise Insulation and Dampening

I purchased this for insulating both my door panels and the back of the door cards during my audio system install. I'm no expert, but this product was easy to cut, easy to install and had noticeable results. Road noise was reduced vastly, which was the main goal for this project.

Brilliant product used this on my Ford transit mk7 van conversion.. went from a tinny van noise when talking or driving to absolute silence.. worth the money rather than buying cheap and paying twice. I recommend paying the extra and buying Kilmat you won’t regret it

Amazing quality. Wanted to reduce the outside road noise, add a better sound to the existing car audio all while adding a more solid sound when shutting the door. This done all 3 with ease. So easy to install.

i have a swb midtop vwt5, one pack of this covered nearly all ceiling except for another 8 sheets i need to get so not much for money really..cleaned area with isopropyl, adhesive is brilliant using hair dryer and roller really good stuff stopped a heap of condensation a brilliant base layer for a foam layer absolutely no tar smell

Good and makes a real difference to vibration in panels and roof etc. Don't really need to cover all the panels like I have. Any more than 50% coverage the improvement is minimal. I am doing a campervan so it is part and parcel of my noise and heat insulation. Clean panels and remove the backing warm up with hair dryer or heat gun and it becomes nice and flexible and very sticky. It is expensive especially if you go over the top, like me. LOL

Very good value for money. Came in usefully sized sections. Seems effective for what I wanted it for (reducing drumming effect on single skin aluminium panels). Only downside worth considering is a relatively low temperature tolerance (100 degrees centigrade) if you plan to use it under bonnet (close to turbo or exhaust) but I got round that by sticking some heat reflective tape over the top. Overall very pleased and would use it again.

Las láminas llegaron muy bien embaladas, sin dobleces ni daños. El butilo tiene muy buena calidad y el adhesivo pega fuerte desde el primer momento. Se nota resistente y fácil de trabajar para insonorizar puertas, techo o paneles de la furgoneta. Muy recomendable para reducir vibraciones y ruido en camper o coche. Buena relación calidad-precio.

I installed this on the cab floor of my 1970 c10. First off installation was a breeze, it went in nice, easy to cut and rolled down nicely. Second of all it does make a difference. Going down gravel roads it’s less pingy when gravel is hitting the underside of the truck. Make less noise from the exhaust and engine in the cab. Would definitely recommend.

Me gustó mucho que es fácil de instalar a comparación de otros materiales ya que este te permite despegarlo fácilmente para corregir la posición, si lo haces de inmediato, al mismo tiempo pasado un día si intentas despegarlo notarás que el materia ya se adhirió mucho más fuerte. Aún lo puedes despegar pero ya es difícil debido a que pega bastante bien. Poner cualquier material de aislamiento te tomará horas pero vale la pena. Me gusto mucho que tiene aluminio y le da muy buena resistencia y consistencia. Si lo vas a instalar en puertas no compres el rodillo, terminarás utilizando el mango de un desarmador o algo similar ya que los pliegues del metal son muy pequeños. En cuanto a sonido, mejoró los bajos de mis bocionas bastante!! Los bajos se escuchan profundos, elimino por completo el sonido hueco, relamente convierte la puerta en una caja sonora. El espesor de 2mm es bastante conveniente ya que no estorba a la hora de ensamblar nueva lente las puertas (NO compres uno de 4 u 8 mm ) para las puertas ya que se convierte en un problema a la hora de ensamblar. En cuanto al olor, el material huele muy poco y una vez instalado, no desprende ningún holor en el carrro, no se por qué hay revisiones quejándose de olor, han de tener olfato de sabueso. Importante! Considera que debes aislar la lámina externa e interna, a mi me alcanzó con una caja de 3.4 metros sin problema. Sin duda lo recomiendo y compraré otra caja para el piso del auto.
