I was looking for a light weight moisturizer in the winter time with no chemicals or any sort of harmful ingredients. I was specific about no scent. I ordered this and it is a worthy product for moisturizer. Even I had breakouts but it was purely because of my bad skincare routine. During hot days I apply only a pinch of cream on my face, and during winters a bit more. We happened to travel to a hill station and I thankfully packed this cream. This was a savior as it helped my skin from tanning or peeling in the harsh cold winds. My father who has a rough skin also applied and kept asking for this cream.For people who are saying they are getting breakouts, you should apply very very less quantity as your skin is already very oily. And have a proper skin care routine like scrub your face and use face wash regularly.I personally have a very oily skin and I did get breakouts but after balancing my skin care routine this is like a blessing. It has improved the skin texture as well. Made it soft and smooth. I also use this cream as under eye cream. I used to have lines when I smiled before but now I can see the skin around the eyes have become plump and soft.I am very satisfied with this product and I am going to purchase a second one.

First thing first, many people complained about the moisturizer balling up while application. We need to realise two things. This product does not contain any silicone and contains oat extract. Naturally, the application is going to be a tad bit difficult. But let's accept the fact we love Minimalist because they don't use silicone, paraben, essential oil and other harsh ingredients.The solution to easy application is take a very small amount. Now apply over by moving in short strokes either moving upward or downward. Now again take very small amount and apply by stroking in opposite direction. Now massage gently in circles. That's it.It gives a bit of irritation which lasted for few minutes.I have combination skin type.This could last somewhere around two months if you use regularly twice in a day.Skin doesn't stay hydrated longer. Needs application every 4-5 hours. Its gonna be a huge problem if you use sunscreen regularly.The main problem with this product is sweating post application.This won't suit for most people for use during daytime. Perfect for night time use.Final verdict: Not the worst. Nor the best. If you bought it, use it at night time. For daytime use, skip this.Thanks for reading.Update : I hated this moisturizer as much as everybody does due to the difficulty with application and shorter span of hydration. But recently I found some good techniques. If you use rosehip oil or retinol serum with squalane base or just squalane oil alone, you cannot apply the oil on moist face as the oil and water are immiscible and while application, oil will push out the water from the skin.My suggestion is, apply your retinol serum or rosehip oil on dry skin. Wait for 30 minutes while the oil enters deep in to the skin. Now apply this moisturizer on top of the oil. The application is super smooth. No balling up. Superb and longer moisturization. Better than many sleeping mask. And your skin doesn't look dull too.Use the same technique during day time too. Instead of retinol/rosehip oil serum, use plain squalane oil.

Love the products from minimalist as they are formulated without fragrance, dye and unnecessary harmful chemicals. This moisturiser is really cooling on the skin and moisturises well as it has enough humectants and emollients. Oats is also very good and soothing for the skin and so is sepicalm. My only issue is it can make my skin feel oily if I apply it during the day but it works well for a night moisturiser. It also helps repair skin from any sort of damage or dryness. It is very well made, it’s one of the best moisturisers available in Indian market right now and at this reasonable price. Must try

Okay guys n girls. I have a very oily Tzone and kind of dry cheeks. (Combination skin) I read reviews of this cream on every available platform and I was running out of my moisturizer. I love their Vitamin C serum and wanted to try something else from them. So even though a lot of reviews said it's not for oily skin, but the brand says it is, I took it at face value n bought it.So here's my review:I will probably take a year to finish this 😭😂As I opened the jar I thought such less quantity! Then I applied it on my hand and it has a great spread. You need verrrry little to cover your whole face.Now the consistency is deceptively light and gel like, you can't tell what it's like from reviews! It looks light and moisturizing on video! But once you put it on. Oh man 😂 it's too thick for me. And I'm pretty sure for most oily skin gals like me. I used too much the first time (normal moisturizer amt) and had to spread it all the way to my neck, chest! It spreads like a thick lotion, that takes time to seep into your skin. You'll probably need to work it in for a few seconds. Then it immediately made me sweat -_- upper lip, forehead, under lips, basically everywhere I applied it on my face.So the take away is. Don't be foolish like me and buy it for Oily skin 😂 I'll probably use it on my body !If you have oily skin and really want to try it out, use it in winters, not in Humid weather, like I did!Or this will be a beautiful moisturizer for Dry skin!!Hope this helps.

Im using my 4th tube of this moisturiser. Its a must for me. It not only moisturise my skin but also soothes minor rashes. This is the best cream. The formula is amazing and truly have oats in it which helps in reducing rashes as well and keeps skin hydrated all day

So I have a couple of problems with this one but I still keep repurchasing it. Here's why -It is soothing! Simply soothing! Doesn't irritate especially for someone who uses actives in the day and retinol in the night. Great for slightly colder weatherWhy I don't like it-I use mandelic acid peel twice a week as a leave on night serum and top it off with this moisturizer. It makes my skin very sticky. But this happens even with my other active serums like alpha arbutin or vit c as well. I can pay my face and my palms would simply stickAnother reason I don't like it is because it is not meant for humid weather. For those living in humid climate, this will feel sticky and difficult to apply without or without any serums in skinThat said, I still buy this once a year because it helps me when I have irritated skin. It's a backup I keep as a helping hand. I like this for that purpose. But won't use it in a pollution filled city whatsoever! Dust will stick!

Been using this in the evenings for about 6 weeks, mainly because the skin was reacting to stronger actives in my routine. Redness and sensitivity reduced after about 10 days of consistent use.The texture is lightweight and layers well without pilling. No fragrance, which is important for a calming product. Has become a regular part of my routine on days when the skin needs a break from heavier treatments. A well-formulated, gentle moisturiser.

This is one of the best moisturizer i have used so far. As a person with dry sensitive skin Iam always in need of a good and suitable moisturizer that goes well with my skin type. And this product did serve well for my skin. I can assure you that this product will do good if you are suffering from extreme dry skin life me, however it can feel heavy on oily or combination skin type. The product is fragrance free which is great for sensitive skin. And the moisturizer lasts for one whole day in my case. Am already on my way to buy the third bottle of the same.

Not suitable for oily skin..

I’ve been having a hard time finding a moisturizer for my face. I have combination skin that is sometimes on the dry side and sometimes very oily. I also have rosacea and my skin is pretty sensitive in general. The moisturizers I kept buying were too heavy and would either clog my pores/cause me to break out or would just be greasy and sticky on my skin. I also use SPF and many of the heavier moisturizers were way too much to be used under sunscreen.This one, however, is great! It does exactly what it says, providing lightweight hydration for your skin that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave it greasy. It works well under my SPF and I don’t have to wait around hoping that it will absorb more before applying sunscreen. I was unsure about trying it but I figured for the price it was worth a shot. It will definitely be a repeat purchase!

It's mostly water and I go through a tube monthly. Expensive for the size and ingredients.
