Can you wash these using dishwasher?

Does the copper have an additional clear coating, i.e. to prevent patina/rust?

Crafted of strong stainless steel with a copper-plated finish, each set is corrosion and rust resistant. To prevent the cups or spoons from looking weathered or tarnishing please dry thoroughly after washing by hand and do not leave to air dry. With proper care, these are made to last for years to come.

I have not seen them fade, although I hand wash them.

I ordered a set and wasn't all to satisfied due to discoloration but I sent a message of my situation and they where so extremely kind and sent me a new set. This set is so so beautiful. It has good weight so you know it is great quality. All in all I would recommend these measurements cups and spoons.
