High quality canning jars
Beautiful canning jars that are perfect for my sourdough starter. The glass is nice and stout and is exactly what I was hoping for.

Sourdough Bakers Need!
I’m in my sourdough era, and had previously placed my sourdough starter in a smaller jar I received in a sourdough kit that was just way too small. An influencer inspired me to look into these Weck jars, and I’m certainly glad I did. The functionality of these jars are just SO much better. They’re tall, have a wide mouth on them, and they’re just so perfect for my sourdough starter home. I don’t personally seal the jars, I just use the lid over it and it works so well for my needs. These jars have exceptional quality, they’re heavy, the glass lid itself has some weight to it. They’re really easy to clean and I regularly swap my starter between these two jars only. Definitely a requirement if you’re in your sourdough era! (Pictured - before and after jar of what came with my kit versus the Weck jar - ahhhh so much bigger and better.)

Great jars but Checks for possible cracks when you get your jars!!
I was truly SO excited to get these for my sourdough starters. I have heard so many amazing things about this company and their jars from friend. But, I got my package and I opened them up only to realize the top of one was cracked. Which is why I took one star away. I am super disappointed about that crack but I don’t have the time to return and wait for a new set to arrive. My starters needed these bigger jars at the start of the week so I’m just going to deal with it and hope the crack won’t affect the seal. Although, I will keep in mind for future purchases. Aside from the cracked lid they are great and very sturdy. UPDATE: They refunded my purchase so I’ll be ordering another set!
