This is a very great book and wonderful hymn arrangements by the Fabers. These are amazing to play at a church or family gatherings. These hymns are popular and very well entertaining for piano concerts. I would definitely say this is the right book for the Advanced Beginner to Mid intermediate Pianist.

This book was recommended to us by my children's piano teacher. They're wanting to practice in preparation for one day playing the piano in church. The hymns are beautiful arrangements, but one must definitely be at more than a beginner level to be able to play them. Such a good price for so many different arrangement of beautiful hymns.

First, I love these arrangements, they sound beautiful, they are intermediate, not real easy but not too hard. At first, they look super easy because it is larger print ( something I also appreciate), but when you play them, they don't sound like beginners hymns. I have really learned from how they have arranged these hymns how I can use this on my own with other hymns. Additionally, after years of learning on my own, these arrangements are finally helping me understand how to use fingering more efficiently. I'm actually on Amazon to see if there are any other books like this. The only thing that I would have liked is if they would have kept the songs in the keys that they are normally written and sung in. some may be, I haven't checked them all. I am especially appreciative of the fingering, and it is wonderful to be practicing with songs that I truly love.

I was able to sight read and play through all of these hymns within an hour of receiving the book. The arrangements are simple, but they sound beautiful. I do agree with other commenters that this should in no way be considered intermediate though, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

This has been a wonderful book to help me get back into piano playing. I’m usually an intermediate level player, and this was challenging enough at first so that I wasn’t bored, but still fun to play! See photo for song list. :)

The arrangements of the songs are amazingly beautiful!! I REALLY enjoy this book. Right on level for me as well(I’m on level 4) recommend!

great book for our daughter to teach herself

I like the variety of songs compared to other ones we have purchased . I actually recognize the songs and my song enjoys learning them.
