I believe the product contains prop 65 chemical. Could you give more details as to what the chemical is and how did it land in this?

Additionally, California’s Prop 65's limit for lead is .5 mcg per day, 1,000 times lower than the level studies deem safe. For perspective, 4 oz. of avocado contains 4.5 mcg of lead. We understand your concern about this, and we take this issue very seriously by testing every batch of our herbs for heavy metal levels, and a wide variety of other contaminants. We ensure the safety of our products, and only use herbs that test within the American Herbal Products Association’s (AHPA) standards for heavy metals.

Since we keep our herbs as close to their natural form as possible, as in nature, no two batches are exactly alike due to differences in general climate, rainfall, and geographical location. As plants develop, their roots absorb necessary water and nutrients from the soil in which they grow. The “chemical” our Proposition 65 warning label refers to is lead. Proposition 65's established reproductive toxicity limit for lead is .5 mcg or ppm per day. This is 1,000 times lower than the lowest level at which studies showed no reproductive health effect. Therefore, the law sets an extremely inflexible warning threshold.
