Great budget replacement cover for Technics SL1200Mk2
The cover is the perfect size for my Technics SL1200Mk2. The hinges needed a slight modification to ensure the rear of the cover sits fully down at the rear of the deck without any gap. This involved filing a couple of small half circular indentations (approx 5mm deep) at the edges of the plastic rectangular part that slide inserts into the cover, so that two internal ribs are cleared. Without this the hinge "bumps" up to the internal ribs & doesn't slide fully in, resulting in a gap of about 5mm between the rear of the cover & turntable surface. I used only the 2 upper holes out of the 4 holes, as the original Technics cover only used 2 holes. It seems strong enough & haven't encountered any issues. Overall very satisfied with this cover given the reasonable cost.

Modify to fitTechnics SL1200/1210 MK5
First and foremost, I didn't use this for its intended purpose so I have to give it five stars. It looks good, seems like it's well made, it doesn't seem like it's going to fall apart tomorrow. I had to heavily modify the hinges in order to make it work with my 1210 MK5. You could see I had to cut them down by about a quarter inch so that the cover was lowered to the surface of the turntable. I could only use two screws instead of four because I'm using the original holes in the metal brackets on the turntable but luckily, they're just the right size that the screws that come with the reloop kit tap the hole so they stay in there nicely. If it were flimsy I wouldn't leave it on there but the way I have it done is not flimsy. If you care about it more than I do just take the bottom off of the turntable and use a threaded Nut and Bolt. Easily just attached from the inside and torqued down. Hopefully, this gives someone else an idea of how to go about doing this but it now fits perfectly, works perfectly, and looks great.

Couldn't be more pleased.
I have a pair of Technics 1210MK2's, in black. These fit perfectly. They are not clear like the original covers, they are darker (smokey tinted), but still look very nice. You will have to remove the plastic brackets that are holding your current covers from the back of the turntable, and install the new ones that come with this cover. When you do this, I suggest that you place your turntable on it's side so that the brackets you have to remove and replace are on the top. If you try to do this with the turntable sitting like normal, the metal plate where you mount the cover bracket to will slide down in it's holder, and you will not be able to install the new plastic brackets. You will need a #1 cross-tip (Phillips) screwdriver for this. After removing the Technics cover mounting brackets from your turntable, install the Reloop cover mounting brackets. The Technics brackets have 2 holes to mount on the back of the turntable, and the Reloops have 4. Do not worry about this. Simply use the top two holes of the Reloop brackets. Once you have the screws in, do not tighten all the way. Install the pair of brackets that hold the cover, then install the cover. Once this is done, adjust the brackets on the back of the turntable until the cover sits flush, then tighten the screws until snug. Be careful not to over tighten. It takes less than 10 mins for each turntable, even if you aren't mechanically inclined. There are no instructions included, so just refer back to this if you're not sure what to do. After complete, step back and enjoy the new look of your turntables. Hope you will be as pleased as I was! If you look on e-bay, sometimes you will find the original cover going for hundreds of dollars. Do not let yourself be ripped off. Purchase these. You'll save money, and have a brand new cover, not a used cover with scratches. There's also another brand that would fit, and that's the Decksaver version. The Decksaver's are butt ugly in my opinion. The Reloops are much nicer looking.
