Bright Red Super Fresh Chiltepins

hard to find peppers
very good peppers tasteful and because they are small it' easy to control the heat level it has taken a lot of years for to find these peppers they grow wild in Texas but when I left there in 81 I have been looking for them since.

I used to buy these locally in Mexican supermarkets. 1/4 oz, 7 grams for $3.99 or $4.99. That's $16 to $20 for one ounce. These came quickly and are fresh, the chile smell upon opening is excellent. Then I gently grabbed a couple in my fingers and licked my fingers, yes 🌶 taste from light handling. I use a pill crusher -mortar and pestle to grind fresh to use. That white porcelain is now a reddish orange. Proof that these have lots of their essential oils. I recommend, and if you have not tried and are a Chilli head, you will love these as they travel well. Tiny but they pack a punch. Add some to your blender-salsa to kick it up a notch.
