I don't know how they could make this unit any better! You can use it while it's raining, you can set it to turn on when it gets too warm, it has a remote control, it's quiet (at the lower speed settings) and it moves a LOT of air! Installation was simple. Make sure you get some Dicor lap sealant - I used every bit of 2 tubes. I'll order 3 tubes for my next fan. My only complaint is that the fan whistles faintly when it's running while there are no windows or doors open in the RV, but that's not enough of an issue for me to take any stars away. I LOVE this fan!

We installed this on our 2016 Starcraft AR-One QB18 Travel Trailer. This fan moves a lot of air... perfect for our small trailer. I installed it in the bathroom at the back of the trailer so it would move cooler air from the front windows through the trailer. Works like a charm! Very pricey, but I feel worth the money. Very quiet at lower settings.

We use our 30' camping trailer for our grown family to stay in while on our mobile jobs of machinery assembly at various dealers. Many times we can not get adequate electric service to run the AC, and have to rely on ventilation on hot summer nights to cool camper. We trade the camper every 2-3 years due to the mileage we pull it behind a heavy service truck, and have installed two of these so far. It will keep the trailer aired out from cooking smells by opening a window on each end of camper. We use the AC if at all possible, but this fan will keep the camper tolerable on sweltering nights. Also if some one is feeling under the weather with a cold, etc, we reverse the fan to draw air in and open the window closest to them. This has helped prevent spreading to the rest of us a number of times. It is as easy to install as a standard vent if there is 12V electric near the vent, otherwise you will need to snake a wire from a nearby light or fan.

Installed two of these in my brand new trailer. Installation went well. I found some heavy duty scissors worked best for trimming the trim shroud. I haven't really used them much other than to test, but my first impression is they don't move as much air as the Fan-Tastic vents in my old trailer. That said, they look better, and are much sleeker when closed. Best of all, with easy to use and understand remote, my wife can use the fans. She was too short to reach the controls on the factory standard fans!

Update - September 2018 A different noise at a different speed each day. You would think spending this much on a fan would mean a brushless motor for less noise ? It still runs and moves air like it should but it's position directly above the bed means it will keep you up or wake you up when it makes a weird noise. I also discovered the replacement motor they gave me under warranty was old stock and not the current model motor. Maybe that is why it is noisy? Summer 2016 I purchased this fan in May. Recently, it has been making unusual sounds that are coming from the motor. It has been making a different noise at a different speed everyday. Recently, it has failed to start spinning. I have had to remove the screen and push the blade to get the fan spinning. I figured I should call MaxxAir (AirExcel) and learn how the warranty process works. Due to the fact I purchased the fan from Amazon they off NO WARRANTY on this fan. If you buy the fan from Amazon you have no warranty for this fan. Absolutely unbelievable. I spent $280 on a piece of junk that can't even be fixed unless I spend an additional $50 - $80 on a new fan motor. What makes it even worse is the built into the price you pay for this fan is the manufactures warranty. If you purchased this fan without a warranty it should cost $XX.XX less...yet here we are paying full price. You get ripped of when you buy the fan at full price then you get ripped off again if it fails and you need to take advantage of the warranty. I I would stay away from this company and just go with Fantastic Fan. Update After a few phone calls I was able to get a warrantied motor. I would rewrite my review but head CSR rep offered no apologies for the trouble I had to go through.

The shipping was fast and the fan is perfect. We have used i on 3 camping trips so far and found it to be amazingly effective to move air out of our 5th wheel. This is the second trailer we have installed one in and we are still very happy. The noise level of the fan is very low; lower than our previous fan.

My local garage destroyed my 11 yr old manual open Maxxfan (long story). I decided to replace with an upgraded Maxxfan with power open/close and reverse features. Didn't know what I was missing with the old fan, but love the new power open/close feature more than I thought. Highly recommend Maxxfans.
