Important CORRECTION of Jeweless' comment.  Vitamin D is FAT soluble, NOT water soluble, so it can indeed be toxic.  I am regularly tested for my levels by my Doctor and had to cut back on dosage, as I had entered toxic level territory.  I don't even take huge amounts of D3 supplements, although toxicity usually occurs through taking large amounts of D3 supplements.  Very little is actually absorbed via a cream of this nature.  Unless you are taking too much oral supplemental D3, I wouldn't worry about issues with absorption of a cream.  I do use a Vitamin D3 cream for my psoriasis and it is another treatment layer in my fight.  It doesn't cure, but it has helped with some control, although my UVB narrow band light is my go-to treatment.  D3 cream does help slow the rapid growth of the psoriasis plaques, but your mileage may vary.  The Mayo Clinic states that "Vitamin D toxicity is usually caused by megadoses of vitamin D supplements — not by diet or sun exposure....."  and "The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea and vomiting, weakness, and frequent urination. Symptoms might progress to bone pain and kidney problems, such as the formation of calcium stones."  Be careful with overdosing, as fat soluble vitamins, of any type, can wreak havoc on your body if you are taking too much.

My vitamin D levels are low and I have them tested every three months. I started using this product a month and a half before my regular blood test and my levels had improved by 28%.
