Their sound is great, inhad my doubts because i saw they were thin, but they were perfect for the wind gong (medium size) and the flate gong (large size).

Cool friction mallets, tiny though.
These mallets are cool, and they work pretty well to make the "whale song" noises on gongs once you get used to them. The only thing I wish was different is, they are pretty small, and also the handles are really thin and difficult for me to grip properly. They also seem really delicate. For the price, I guess I thought they would be a little more robust.

Definitely not soft and low
The description is a bit misleading. I have a 34" gong and these mallets produce a high pitched whining sound not a soft low tone nor a loud resonance as described. More like fingernails on a chalkboard. Sorry but these have to go back.
