(New 2019) HappyLight Luxe1000 Lux LED Light Therapy Lamp with Adjustable Brightness, Color and Timer

Should have read the reviews before ordering. Comes as 110V and requires an adapter to work in the UK. IMO this should be supplied or declared and not discovered when you have already purchased the product.

It was sent with a European plug not one that can be used in the UK. Used 4 different usb and the light will not turn on. These aren't cheap... No option to contact the seller so having to return the product.

Excellent product! High output and great format. Controls are intuitive and very easy to use. Good blend of functionality and practicality. Have an older LED type SAD lamp and the difference is profound. Highly recommend.

Ich habe die Tageslichtlampe bestellt. Der dazugehrige Stecker ist einer Typ A, also für USA etc. Für D braucht es einen Adapter. Das hat mit der Qualität des Geräts nichts zu tun, ist aber ärgerlich, da im Angebot nicht darauf hingewiesen wird.

Verkeerde stekker, verkoper helpt niet. Ding doet het niet.

I have had my Verilux HappyLite Luxe lamp for about a year now and can honestly say that I am quite pleased. Even my partner likes to use it now, and we find that it helps improve our energy levels and general mood. it has been a game changer during the winter months when it gets dark outside at 4pm.I like to set the timer for the full 60 mins while reading or doing self-care, and love that I can adjust the colour of the light to be softer when its later in the day or a very bright white light when I'm using it at mid-day. The fact that I could also change the intensity of light depending on how I am feeling made this product well worth the extra cost compared to other therapy lights.

SUMMARY: Aside from possibly destroying your phone, this is a 5-star product, with a few minor criticisms.WARNING: The power supply uses a USB C tip, just like most phones, tablets, and some laptops. If you accidentally plug it into your phone, it'll likely be instantly destroyed: the light's adapter outputs 20V, but most phones can only tolerate 12V at most (with 9V and 5V also being common). VeriLux should really implement USB PD to prevent this, or at least use a red tip and/or attach a warning label to the end of the cord. (I recommend you attach a label yourself to prevent very expensive mistakes!) There's no warning about this in the manual or anywhere else as far as I can see. (I don't have a USB C breakout to verify this; perhaps someone else can test and see if there's a safety mechanism, although my conversation with VeriLux about this implied there wasn't.)POWER CABLE/STAND: The power cable is difficult to plug in with the stand attached to the back of the unit. You might have to store the stand separately if you're wall- or arm-mounting this.TIMER: The timer isn't intuitive, but there are well-written instructions.BRIGHTNESS: VeriLux tells me they guarantee the rated lux at a distance of 6" for all of their lamps. That said, this model is much brighter than my VeriLux HappyLight VT15, which is also rated for 10,000lux. There are four brightness settings, which I'd guess are each very roughly double the brightness of the previous.DISTANCE/TIME: If your eyes are more than 6" away from the lamp, you might need to use it longer to get the same effect as the recommended 30mins. From the inverse square law, at 12", you need 4x as long (2h), while at 18" you would need 9x as long (4.5h). This is probably true of every therapeutic lamp.COLOUR/WARMTH ADJUSTMENT: The coolest setting is like daylight; this is likely to be the most effective for SAD/depression. The warmest setting is closer to indoor, evening light in most homes, but it's definitely not free of blue light (if that matters to you).I use mine with a tablet arm (B07PT3T8TV) which will *just* hold the tablet. This makes it easy to mount the lamp over my computer's screen. As a bonus, at a low setting, this helps illuminate me for video calls.
