Keeps My Child Happily Engaged for Hours
This reusable sticker book has been a huge hit in our home. My daughter absolutely loves it and can stay happily entertained for hours, fully focused and engaged as she creates and recreates different scenes. The stickers are easy to peel and reposition, which makes the experience frustration-free and allows the book to be used again and again. It encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and concentration in a very natural way. It’s one of those products we use daily and truly appreciate. I would highly recommend it to any family looking for a fun, educational, and long-lasting activity for children.

Fun, educational and easy!
I bought this for my two year old and they love it! The stickers are high quality and don’t rip. This sticker book is kid friendly as my toddler is able to peel the stickers off independently. This sticker book has been great for working on speech for us as I have used it for my toddler to make the sounds of animals as they place them. I love how it has different habitats and animals. Don’t worry about mixing up the stickers. All the stickers have a different color around their edges that correspond to their habitat. This makes putting the stickers away quite easy if your toddler mixes the stickers up. I have already purchased the vehicle and things that go version of this book for my toddler and can’t wait for it to come in. This is definitely a great gift at a good price. Very happy with this product.

The Life Cycle of this Sticker Pad with a Baby
I purchased this pad for my 15 month old at the end of August. It's now the end of October, so we've had it for about 2 months total, and it's kind of nearing the end of its life span. Yes, it's recommended for ages 3 and up, but my baby discovered stickers around that time and I wanted to encourage her creativity and imaginative play. When we first got it, I was delighted. There are 5 scenes: farm, dinosaur, African savanna, jungle/rain forest, and ocean. The stickers are vinyl decals. Some commenters have complained about the stickability of the decals to the backgrounds, and I agree. M&D cheaped out on the gloss on the backgrounds, so the vinyl decals sometimes don't stick very well. The vinyl decals are perfect, it's the backgrounds that are poor. This can be remedied by wetting the backs of the stickers a little, or wiping down the backgrounds. Or, you can use the M&D stickers with My First Early-Learning Sticker Books (My Little World) . This set has poor quality paper stickers that really aren't reusable, but the books are FANTASTIC with beautiful high gloss pages that cry out for these vinyl decals to stick to them. They're also FAR more portable than the M&D backgrounds, perfect for popping in the diaper bag along with some of the M&D decals. Stage 1 We received the pad, and the stickers are all in the front followed by the backgrounds. This necessitates removing the sticker sheets from the pad. I only let my daughter play with one sticker sheet at a time and some of the stickers are very small (ducks and chicks at the farm, striped fish in the ocean), so those were removed. If you're using this pad with a small child, I recommend starting with the dinosaur decals, which are the largest, followed by the savanna and then rain forest. My daughter had a great time removing the stickers from the sheets and placing them on the backgrounds. Stage 2 I tried to keep the surrounding outline vinyl on the sticker sheets, so I would know where to replace the stickers in between play times. This failed, as my daughter eventually ripped the background vinyl off. So those outline vinyl sheets were thrown away. However, then I could never get all the stickers back on to the sticker sheets because they had been placed 'just so' as to maximize space. So now I as many stickers as I can fit on the sheets and the rest (10+ total) on the backgrounds. Stage 3 Eventually, after a few weeks of play, the backgrounds got ripped out of the pad as well (at this point they were only loosely in there anyway). So now the 'pad' becomes more like a portfolio folder, for holding the sheets with the stickers and the backgrounds with the remainder stickers. Stage 4 My daughter discovered that the backgrounds stink, and aren't very sticky. She goes in search of more sticky surfaces to place the stickers. Walls with high gloss paint, the glass shower doors, the bathroom cabinets, the hall doors with high gloss paint. Yippee! So now I have stickers everywhere. This actually isn't SO bad. It's a nice activity to occupy her in the bathroom while I take a shower. Stage 5 In moving the decals all over, to the various surfaces around the house that are glossy, the paper backgrounds have completely fallen into disuse. The stickers are scattered all over the house in various places. Now when I find one in a random place I pick it up and deposit it in a 'sticker pile' we have on a shelf in the bedroom. Eventually they will all be placed back on the sticker sheets or backgrounds in the 'folder'. Unfortunately, the paper backgrounds are dead. Nothing sticks to them. They're just tucked in the pad/folder, along with some of the sticker sheets with some stickers here and there. In the beginning I was keeping the different themed stickers separate, but now they're all mixed up across the sheets. Daughter still loves this toy (it's only been 2 months), but the pad itself is decimated. Will likely buy a new set of them around Christmas, or maybe wait until spring when she turns 2. Overall, this is a very fun toy. If using with a child under the recommended age range, obviously play must be supervised to prevent potential ingestion of any stickers. Even at 1.5 it's a wonderful learning tool for teaching animal names and sounds and encouraging creative play. However, like most M&D products, it's scores very high in the idea department (the concept) but low in the construction department (all M&D products are now made in China, with apparently high safety standards, but low quality control). This sticker pad just isn't made to last, nor are the backgrounds even made to have the decals stick. Come on M&D, would a few cents more for a bit more gloss on the pages really have been so terrible?! Ugh. Anyway, this sticker pad costs less than a Starbucks coffee and lasts exponentially longer, so I can't complain too much.

A MUST for kids who love animals!
Sure, this is a sticker set for kids. But as an animal lover myself (who seriously looked into scientific illustration as a career), I am SO impressed at the scientific accuracy and tasteful style of the illustrated animals. These aren't offensively-drawn caricatures, you can identify real animals in these! I was able to point out to my 28-month-old the jaguar, the leopard, the harpy eagle, the cheetah, the skate, the flounder, the horseshoe crab. She can identify them all. (She is already better at identifying animals than her dad, haha.) Even the squid and the octopus have the correct number of arms and tentacles! I am not as familiar with dinosaurs, but I am sure that real dinosaurs can be identified there too. This is the first reusable sticker set I got for my animal-loving daughter and I am immensely pleased with this purchase. She's already played with them for hours and the stickers are still in great shape. I like to wipe down the scene pages every evening to remove fingerprints. I will say that we did attempt to put the stickers back with the backing intact, almost like a puzzle, but it's much easier to remove the stickers if you remove the backing from the sticker paper. She's often able to handle the stickers herself that way. There's also less likelihood you will rip the sticker paper if you don't reuse their placement on the backing. My only negative observation is that sometimes my daughter will observe that these stickers aren't really sticky because they don't stick to her shirt. She'll think it's broken and throw it aside. I have been telling her they're "special stickers" that only stick to "this special paper" and I think she'll get it soon, haha.

Must-Buy! Excellent for Toddlers and Fine Motor Skills (Ages 2+)
I purchased this reusable sticker set for my 2-year-old, and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. At this age, the primary goal is fun and developing fine motor skills, and this product delivers perfectly! Great for Little Hands: The stickers are large enough for tiny hands to grasp and peel without frustration, which is key to independent play. While the suggested age might be older, with supervision, my toddler has had so much fun simply peeling and sticking the animals onto the various scenes. Reusability and Quality: The reusable feature is fantastic. The stickers adhere perfectly to the scene boards and can be removed and repositioned literally hundreds of times without losing stickiness. The material is thick and durable, which prevents tears during rough play. Product Value: It comes with five bright, engaging scenes (Ocean and Jungle are instant favorites) that spark conversation and imaginative play. This is an excellent, quiet resource for keeping kids entertained at home or during long car rides. This is a worthwhile purchase and a wonderful gift. Highly recommended!

Great diversion for travel and bad weather days
Adhesives are overrated. These reusable stickers provide hours of toddler fun without having to peel off your furniture. We have taken them on a plane trip, played at home, and toddler plays with the stickers even outside of the book. They don't adhere very well after she roughs them up a bit, but with a wipe off, most still will go back to the book. Love the different scenes in this one.

This keeps our one-year-old entertained; we can't ask for much more
UPDATED JULY 2015 (3 stars): I'm sad to say that after just two uses of this book while traveling, and maybe three uses of this book at home, most all of the pages have ripped from their seams. This had already happened as of the time of my review below, and as I said there, I can't place all the blame with the book because it is a book that little kids are playing with (and we know they're not the gentlest of creatures). However, it's a bummer that after just a handful of uses, this book is now pretty much unusable (we bought it mostly for travel and didn't want to have miscellaneous loose sheets flying everywhere in a car or especially in an airplane). Also, another issue we have encountered after taking it on our second trip: it's just too big and cumbersome for any real, practical use on a trip. It's so big that it doesn't even fit into a very large carry-on. If it does fit, it sticks out of the top of the carry-on, is stiff, and takes up so much space in a bag. So, the bulky size of the book, combined with the weak seams issue, means that we no longer travel with it, unfortunately. It still gets three stars because I consider it an okay product--and I still love the concept of reusable, non-sticky stickers--but because our son doesn't really like to play with it at home and because we bought it primarily for traveling, it just doesn't suit our purposes. This has just been our experience--others may have a great experience with this book for their young'uns, especially if they're planning to use it at home. AUGUST 2014 REVIEW (5 stars): Before we had children, one of my top 15 fears as a parent was having stickers stuck to every surface of my house (I had seen too many of my wife's nieces and nephews going wild with stickers). So when my wife suggested a "sticker book" for our young'un, I immediately vetoed it until I found out these stickers are reusable. I'm so glad that I didn't veto this purchase. Not only are these stickers reusable (i.e., no mess), but they kept our young'un entertained for at least 25 minutes of a recent airplane flight. In airplane time and in one-year-old time, that's almost equivalent to a four-hour-movie. He loved peeling off the dinosaurs and re-peeling them off, over and over; for those 25 minutes or so, he truly was transfixed (and not bothering the flight attendants or other passengers!). The same has held true at home: he actually sits on the floor quietly and flips the pages of his book back and forth and peels and re-peels the stickers. It's unclear what he's actually doing, but he's around one, so he gets a hall pass, and the book seems to keep his attention and keep him happy, so that makes us happy. At the front of the book, there are several sheets of animals that are grouped into like categories--farm, aquatic, jungle, etc. Later in the book, there are "scenes" with illustrations depicting farm life, aquatic life, jungle life, and so on, so that the animals you saw earlier would "fit" into those scenes. (For instance, the jungle scene has a long tree rope that the monkeys can swing from, and the monkey stickers, I was pleased to see, are positioned so that their arms are up, not down, so that it looks like they're actually swinging from the tree when you put them next to the tree.) However, do note one thing about the sheets of animals at the front of the book: the stickers can be hard to peel off if you have a younger child. Like many young'uns, our young'un is probably too little to take the stickers off of the backing for the first time, and he got frustrated at first trying to peel them out to play with them. So, here's what we did: we peeled off the white background sheet that keeps all of the stickers in place, and then stuck the stickers back onto the background (not the "scene" backgrounds, but the plain white backgrounds in the beginning of the book). He could then easily peel them off when he wanted to play with them. We've just found one small downside to this book, and that's the seams to this book: they're not very sturdy. The very first time that our son played with this book, two of the sheets fell from their seams within minutes. There's no way to put them back into the book, so now the book has missing pages. I can't completely place blame with the book, when our young'un is a rambunctious, no-holds-barred young'un, but I was surprised that this happened after just a few minutes of play. Still, this doesn't affect my star rating of five stars. I am hopeful that as our young'un gets older, this book will become even more useful and entertaining to him. If he's occupied now around one year of age by just peeling and re-peeling stickers without an awareness of what they're doing or the fact that dinosaurs don't usually like farmland, then I think this book will last for at least several more years. It's also meant to be for 3+ years, so that's another reason I'm hoping it will keep its usefulness (note also that this means you have to watch your young'un to make sure he or she doesn't swallow any of the small stickers--there are some giant stickers in the book, like dolphins and dinosaurs, and then some tiny ones, like birds and flowers). In sum, we are beyond happy with this sticker book.
