Strong Stuff!
While redoing the headliner on my pickup truck, we ended up buying this fabric adhesive knowing full well it was probably going to be a one-time-use type of purchase. Because of that, the price initially felt a little higher than I wanted to spend for a single project. But now that several months have passed since using it, I can honestly say the effectiveness and durability of this product have absolutely justified the cost. First off, this stuff is strong. And I mean strong both in adhesion and in smell. The odor is very intense during application, so definitely make sure youโre working in a well-ventilated area before using it. Open doors, use fans, whatever you need to do, because this is not something you want to breathe in heavily while working. That being said, the actual application process was smoother than I expected. Once we sprayed it onto the fabric and attached the material to the truck headliner, it bonded really well. Months later, everything is still holding strong, and the durability has honestly impressed me quite a bit. One thing I learned during this whole process is that when you tackle a project like replacing a vehicle headliner for the first time, you suddenly realize there are all these specialty products out there that exist specifically to help with certain steps of the job. Since I had never done this before, I was definitely skeptical when people kept telling me I needed a dedicated fabric adhesive for it. I had honestly never even heard of products like this before starting the project. But looking back now, I completely understand why it was necessary. The end result looks fantastic. My truck interior looks significantly better with the new fabric installed, and everything about the finished project just feels cleaner and more professional overall. So while the upfront cost felt a little steep for something I may only use once, the actual results absolutely delivered for me.

This stuff works.
(2006 Accord 4dr, no sunroof) Pretty easy to work with, after application to both surfaces things just attach. I could lift and reposition up to about a minute or 90 sec after spraying, then it gets difficult to adjust. The spray truly comes out like webbing. Cool. Very little odor which was nice too. Minor gripe, after the first section (around 1/4 of the headliner) when a single spray covered say 4 inches each pass, the spray diminished to like 2 inches each pass. Just meant more work to get the glue down. Finished with 1/4 left in the can.

Strong Hold for Headliner and Fabric Projects
I used this adhesive for a fabric repair project and was impressed with how strong the bond was once it had time to set. The spray pattern was easy to control, which helped provide even coverage without oversaturating the material. One thing I appreciated was that it stayed tacky long enough to position the fabric correctly before pressing everything into place. After curing, the hold felt secure and durable. As with most spray adhesives, proper surface preparation and ventilation are important for the best results. Overall, this is a dependable adhesive that does exactly what it's designed to do and is a great option for headliner, upholstery, and other fabric-related projects.

as expected.
works as expected. I will say the can doesn't last very long. Approximately one can for a 4'x8' space

This glue saved my old car
Took a chance on this 3M headliner spray because my 15โyearโold Civicโs roof fabric was sagging right into my face on the drive home from night shift. I was too tired to fight it every morning. Cleaned off the old crusty glue, shook the can, sprayed both the fabric and the roof, waited a few minutes, then pressed it up with my hands and a paint roller. It grabbed fast and stayed put. No more fabric brushing my hair when iโm half asleep. The nice part was using the extra to secure a loose trunk carpet corner so it stops flapping when I haul my work bag. Smells strong at first but it fades by the next day, which made me reallly glad.

Literally the only glue that works for headliners
It doesn't smell strong and its easy to use. Since it's literally the only glue that works for headliners, it's great for the money if you're going to DIY. I replaced my old headliner and put in a black leather one in my Dodge Dakota sport with little to no issues using this. Been several years and it's still up there. I verbally recommend this often.

The best headliner material adhesive out there. Don't scrimp, get it right the first time.
Bought a can of 3M Headliner & Fabric Adhesive to replace the material peeling off the A, B, and C pillars in my e46 BMW (they all do this eventually). I went with a slightly heavier tweed fabric that turned out to be a stunning upgrade. This adhesive sprays the perfect amount from 8-10" from the surface. Mega tacky after 15-20 seconds but still allows you to reposition without damaging the fabric if you don't get it lined up just right the first time. Once it dries, it is ON THERE, with serious sticking power. Did not bleed through the fabric and the parts turned out like a factory job.

Works Well
Had some sagging headliner where the previous owner had installed a dashcam. I put this on a few months back and it's been holding quite well through the heat and the cold. I used this on quite a small patch of headliner, and as such, I'm not sure how this would work for larger applications.

Great stuff
This stuff is fabulous! Bought it for one project and now using it on another one too. The adhesive is strong. In the beginning it is moveable if you need to before clamping it. Have a damp rag next to you incase there is over spray. Its easy to clean up when its still wet.

Good product so far after 1.5 years of service
Good product, has worked through the hot and the cold for over a year and a half. It does take some getting used to when working with it, so test sprays are recommended, and a light touch is probably safer than a heavy one to prevent dimples. No noxious vapours to worry about, though best to perform work in a ventilated area. My only nitpick is it seems to have less adhesion on sections of headliner repaired using fibreglass and epoxy resin, YMMV. Also, it might be a good idea to be prepared for overspray onto the fabric side of your headliner by having some 3M adhesive remover on hand, as this adhesive is pretty stubborn!
