As a designer artist.....I am ADDICTED to these technical pens......this particular nib..... .18 mm.....is one of the thinnest lines you can get.....so....with that comes a certain amount of frailties. It IS a smaller and more fragile nib....which means you have to be gentle and careful with your line pressure.......all that to say.....this pen is the BOMB......if you are a PEN SNOB like myself........and require in your.....vast.....HA.....collection...... a line that is thin....gentle.....and......CONSISTENT.....buy this pen.....I have a HUGE VARIETY of ROTRING pens......maybe 12 to 15 and they do not let me down.....now.....once you purchase the entire pen.....you will only need to buy the replacement nib for future use.....and remember these ISOGRAPH styles require you to add INK to a well....so BUY INK if this is your first rodeo....also.....be very careful as to the BRAND of INK used.....buy the ink for the pen brand......i learned the HARD WAY that some inks are too thick and will clog the mechanics of the pen....SO.......you need ROTRING pens if you are serious about....well.....putting hand to paper.......go for it.
