D-Link: DGS-108-8-port 10/100/1000M Unmanaged Switch

It has arrived sharp on time. Good price considering that is D-link product and the quality of this brand is a certainity. It is fast and easy to install, it doesn't require any network knowledge. I purchaised this product because My wi-fi connection is not always stable and the signal not always of a good quality. So I thought about this rj45 switch to solve some stability issues with some periferals like console, smart TV and my IT work station. Now all are working perfectly and the connection is stable. NOTE: It isn't a router and it isn't a wifi access point, but just a network switch.

Arrived on time. Packaged appropriately. Works as intended. It’s range works better than my last router and so far no complaints except that when you want to hook up a device that runs on 2.4 GHz you can’t have the imesh extender powered on as intended with imesh system. You’ll need to enable a function to do that which drops the extender so you can flip flop manually for 5Ghz to 2.4GHz. The system as an imesh unit(s) are intended to pick between the two, 5-2.4GHz automatically for better internet speed. If you can disable smart connect while using the imesh system together, I’ve not figured out how to do so, so that I may connect certain devices which require 2.4GHz to operate. It does connect but as mentioned above and the problem I encounter. Over all if I had done my research and was more diligent, I might have learned what the product could or could not accomplish certain expectations or other connecting products. Over all I am pleased with this product and seller as I am able to return it without hassle! I should likely utilize the tech support and inquire before I do write this review as they may very well be able to provide some insight! Recommend this product and seller. Thank you. Update. So after doing some research I was able to disable smart connect. The smart connect is a function that allows the imesh system to connect to either 5GHz or 2.4GHz and will choose which is best at any given time without any device needing to switch to better frequency. Disabling smart connect allowed me to use both imesh units as one router in 2 different areas of my home. I’m now able to utilize the 5GHz and 2.4GHz frequencies separately so that I can run devices which require 2.4GHz only. Great system! Very pleased with it. Definitely recommend this product.

I should start by saying I don't have a Wi-fi 6 router (yet) so I can't speak to how well this adapter works on that type of network, but it works fantastically on 5G and 2G. I recently moved and getting a network cable into the room where my gaming PC is wasn't practical so I had to resort to using a D-Link USB Wi-Fi adapter for internet connection. It didn't get a good signal on my 5G network, would usually only get around 40 Mbps (I have a 500 Mbps connection) and the 2G got a better signal, but it usually didn't get more than 70 Mbps, but both had high latency times in online games, especially the 5G network, and would sometimes disconnect from the network. Then I installed this card and the difference was instantly noticeable, even without the antennas screwed on the base it was getting a better signal than the USB adapter and with them attached and the antenna base sitting on top of my tower I was getting around 250 Mbps. But as you can see in the pictures by mounting it on the wall above my tower I'm getting 95% signal strength & very close to using all of my 500 Mbps bandwidth, and latency and loading times in online games is greatly improved. The Bluetooth 5.1 feature works well too, so far I've successfully connected a wireless mouse, headphones and even my Galaxy S23 Ultra to my PC with it.
