Do I need to buy an air pump or does it have one integrated already?

don't buy air pump we blew it up by mouth (This item is great. I bought for my grand children. When too small to sit up I put a pillow in middle and laid them on it)

Can this be used for a baby 12 months and up? My son (23lbs,30in tall) is delayed and having trouble finding his balance point for sitting.

My son still uses this and he's nearly 14 months, I also doubt we'll be putting it away anytime soon he loves it so much. He crawls in & out of it & puts his toys in it. My son isn't very big though, 17lbs & I'm not sure how tall. You can inflate & deflate the ring to make it as high & firm as you like or softer & easier to climb over. Sitting inside the ring my son has his legs slightly curled under him. Sitting in the ring it's not entirely supportive but if they wobble & fall over the sides catch them & it's not a big fall. There's lots to look at, touch & move, and it's easy to assemble. I asked my brother for advice, he had one for his 2 sons & they loved it. It also protects a younger child from a rougher older sibling! It would hold a good resale value if he didn't like it.
