This is a premium glucosamine product for many reasons. I have 3 dogs, approximately 50 pounds each, entering their senior years, and wanted to be proactive in protecting their hips and joints. I am one who does a lot of research before just clicking the "buy" button, especially when it comes to my precious fur babies. This particular one has the THE HIGHEST CONCENTRATION OF GLUCOSAMINE AND MSM (very important) that I could find. This means that you don't have to feed multiple tablets per day, which translates into the most bang for your buck. Also, it is American made, so you can feel safer about what you are giving your precious pups. I had a question regarding pricing, and Salveo Petcare was extremely prompt and courteous in their response. This is a company that takes pride in their product and values their customer service. I actually went one step further, and took pics of the ingredients, and showed them to our two separate veterinarians. BOTH VETS GAVE 100% APPROVAL TO THIS PRODUCT!!! That speaks volumes, which is why I am posting this review to help inform other prospective customers who want to be sure they are purchasing a quality product.I have been using these tablets for about 6 months now, and do notice that our oldest dog (13+ years) gets up and moves around with less struggle and discomfort. The ONLY drawback with these tablets is that they are hard chewables, and our one oldest dog will not chew them by themselves. We have to crush them in her food for her to eat them. However, she is very picky, and turns her nose up at many snacks and treats. Our other 2 dogs eat and chew them eagerly. I feel good about adding these tablets to our dogs' diets, and know I am promoting long term good health and strong joints as they age gracefully.

We have an 85 lb Oorang Airedale. This terrier is the LARGE size Airedale. She is 7 years old, and over did it with exuberance/energy playing with other dogs. For a large dog, she also had a habit of standing on two legs with her paws on the fence to see over the fence. Not good for her to be doing that posture too frequently. This product was recommended by our Vet after she had noted lower back pain, and was refusing to do much of anything, her pain was such that it kept her up overnight panting. Difficult for her to get up into a standing position. After a pain and steroid shot at the Vet, this product taken every day has gotten her back into the groove. She appears constantly happy and no more discomfort. Ironically, due to a hurricane, our fence was knocked down, and when rebuilt, the slats were spaced farther apart, she can now see through them, so she no longer jumps up in a standing position which was not helping her (posture/injury) at all. We love this product.

I tried this instead of my normal purchase of Dasuquin. This product is good, but not perfect. Each tablet has some kind of coating on it, which I absolutely hate. I give these to all three of my dogs. One will eat the tablet without a problem, one reluctantly eats it, and one dog won't eat any kind of pill to save her life. For the last dog, I have to crush the pill and combine it in her food with some chicken broth & a little wet food. It has 100 mg less of Glucosamine and half of the MSM as Dasuquin per pill, which doesn't have a coating on each pill. A note here, the coating didn't upset my dogs' stomachs or have any adverse affect on them.I got 3 bottles of 120 pills each for $24.99 versus 1 bottle of 150 pills for $74, so it was an insane amount less in cost (6.9¢ per dose versus 49¢ per dose). Even doubling the dosage of this brand is a better value as I would get 180 doses at 13.8¢ per dose, which is still an extreme cost savings. I figure for that differential, I can live with the coating. I see currently, it's out of stock. I have one more unopened bottle. I hope it comes back in stock as I plan to reorder and would definitely recommend this to others.

I have been using this product for over a year, I have tried others, but always return to Salveo. It is economical and effective. I have 3 newfoundlands ages 7,9 & 11 as with all large breed dogs, they age faster and develop aches and pains like we do. I began using Glucosamine and Chondroitin at the recommendation of my vet. It works but you must commit to giving it for a few weeks and don't miss a dose. They don't know you are giving them a supplement so they are not "Faking" their results. When they don't get their tablets they limp and have difficulty transiting from standing to lying down and lying down to standing. When they take it their limps are minimal or non-existent. Two of the three eat it in their food, but number 3 doesn't like the taste so I hide it in food she loves.

These are a complete game changer for our aging mix-breed female dog. We give her one every morning and it helps keep her acting young and energetic. We can tell a very noticeable difference if we forget a dosage. We give her extra dosage if she has company coming over and when we travel. It seems to help keep her joints and muscles from getting as stiff and sore and makes like more enjoyable for her. Our dog is very (very) picky about what she eats and will only eat these if we put a little peanut butter on it before we give it to her. I'm not sure if it's the flavor as much as she's just incredibly spoiled and expects the PB on it.I would strongly recommend these for others who want a better quality of life for their fur-baby.

It seems to work well for my 10 year old Lab. However, my 5 year old Pitt has artificial ACL tendons in both back knees. After starting this product, he began walking on three legs and compensating by using his upper body strength (almost walking on his front legs). His doctor thought I was crazy when I told him that I thought the Glucosamine was causing the trouble but within 24 hours of taking him off the meds Buddy was putting pressure on both back legs and walking and running on all fours (not perfect but MUCH better). I tried it a second time and had the same results. Odd. Right? All we can figure out is that there is some ingredient in the pill that was reacting with the artificial tendon.
