My biggest indulgence: a complete sock replacement
How many of you have these single-pairs of socks in your drawer? Remnants of previous sock purchases, gifts, hand-me-downs, what have you? You have to sort through your laundry to find the mate, and, at the end, you always have some random socks that go on top of a shelf or back in the laundry, in the hopes that they will find their other half. And they don't. They won't. Ever. Which is why, when my socks are about to go, I just think "screw it" and replace them all in one go. Now, when I do laundry, I just put all these matching socks one on top of another in my drawers No need to find mates. They're all mates! And let's not ignore the usefulness of brand new socks as winter comes in. These socks fit me just fine (I'm an 8.5 men's), and they've felt fine in summer and the coming winter, as regards temperature. The elastic has enough hold to keep them up, without hurting my circulation. All around, just what's needed in plain socks. I am all set, my feet are warm, life is good.
