Works, easy to use, kids safe
This was my 4th order of this exact set. I have 6 young children and a puppy. Something that takes out bio stains is a MUST. We love this product because it is kid and pet safe, does the job, and smells just fine. It does a great job of removing poo, blood, vomit, and pee from carpets. Easy to use, you just spray on, leave for a few minutes while you go do the rounds to look for MORE stains, then come back and blot up the excess. Voila! As far as kid-safe goes, I'm serious, it's fine. I even had to call poison control for it, because I had a toddler sneakily use an empty bottle I'd placed in the recycling in his play kitchen, and he drank the residue with water he added himself. While that was...exciting...he's perfectly fine, and there's nothing in there that causes harm. He smelled nice though!

Smells Good, Cleans DeepโMy Go-To Enzyme Cleaner
Iโve been using the 128โoz Biokleen BacโOut Enzyme Stain & Odor Remover for a few months now, and hereโs my take from real-life use: โธป โ What I Love โข Effective on tough stains and odors It tackled old pet stains on my carpet and even wine drips on my couch. After letting it sit, the spots and smells disappeared without me having to scrub madly ๏ฟผ ๏ฟผ. โข Safe and eco-friendly No harsh chemicalsโplant-based, biodegradable formula with live enzymes. Itโs certified by Green Seal for safer cleaning ๏ฟผ. Great for a pet-filled and kid-friendly home. โข Fresh, subtle scent The lavender-lime scent is mild and pleasantโno chemical bleach smell. Even better: it disappears quickly, leaving things smelling neutral ๏ฟผ. โข Multipurpose cleaning Iโve used it inside my washing machine for sweaty gym clothes, on carpet spills, upchuck from my cat, and even diaper stains. Itโs tackled them all successfully ๏ฟผ. โธป โ ๏ธ What to Know Before You Buy โข Use enough and let it work You need to saturate the stain and let the enzymes dwell for at least 10 minutesโlonger for deeper-set messes. Wiping it too soon cuts effectiveness ๏ฟผ ๏ฟผ. โข Big jug, big space The 128-oz bottle is a bit bulky, so I ended up transferring some into a smaller spray bottle for spot cleaning convenience ๏ฟผ. โข Some shipping issues A few buyers mentioned leaks during delivery. Mine arrived okay, but worth knowing if your bottle comes via mail . โธป ๐งญ Final Verdict If youโre dealing with organic stainsโlike pet mess, food, wine, or workout clothesโand want a safer, eco-friendly option, this formulation really delivers. Just use it as directed (saturate and wait), and be aware of the bottleโs size. In short: powerful, plant-based enzyme cleaner that works across multiple mess typesโjust give it a bit of space to work, and maybe prep a spray bottle for ease of use.

Good for chemical sensitivities, awful spray bottle.
Good but not perfect. I used this as a pre-spray for a carpet cleaner (Bissell Big Green) and not through the machine. I deal with multiple chemical sensitivities, so I needed something that would wash all the way out. For chemical sensitivity, it's quite good. Note that it does have Benzisothiazolinone which some people react poorly to, but it does wash out with water very easily, so even for someone sensitive to it, if you're going to hit it with a ton of water after it sits, it's generally fine. Otherwise, it's about the safest cleaner I can think of. The smell is massively overwhelming but it's actual lime, not anything that attaches to an oil to glue onto carpet fibers like you get in conventional cleaners, so once it's rinsed, it's gone. Still, nearly removed a star on this because they could pull about 70% off of that smell and it'd still be strong. The spray bottle SUCKS. Other reviewers are not joking. By the time I pulled the spray trigger 10 times, it was dripping down and soaking my hand. Waste of product, huge pain to use. If I use it again, I'll buy a spray bottle and just use the refill jug of this. For effectiveness, I'm kind of mixed. It does do very well removing stains, it is an enzymatic cleaner, but I'm cleaning a rental with old dog pee dried into the carpet pad and while it got the room fresh, if I were to lay on the carpet and sniff the floor, I'd smell some funk still. I'd call it 90% effective. But for something that doesn't bug MCS, that's pretty hard to beat. Far more effective on pet stuff than non-enzymatic cleaners (vinegar, alcohol, etc.) If I had to do it again, I might give odoban a try, but overall, this definitely gets added to my permanent cleaner collection, as long as I'm rinsing with water after to get that lime smell down (it smells terrific, but too much of a good thing ya know)

Works amazing! No lingering odors - no overpowering smell!
Works amazing. Paid $500 to have my cream colored sectional cleaned by ZeroRez - the only thing that got cleaned was my wallet. Used this at full concentration and then rinsed with water and the sectional looks good as new. Also worked great on our washable rugs - 2 cups in the washer and then a normal wash afterwards left them fresh and amazingly clean. Ordered more immediately!

Needs steam cleaner instructions.
There aren't great instructions for use in a steam cleaner. I ended up using about 1/2 the jug straight in the carpet cleaner with no water and evenly sprayed/wet the carpets. I let it stand for 10 mins. I then filled the reservoir with hot water and 1 cup of the Biokleen liquid and cleaned the carpets normally. After 3 hours of letting it dry, we noticed the carpet had a very tacky/sticky feel to it. So then I did a rinse with straight hot water and that seemed to help. For anyone using a steam cleaner I wouldn't mix it with water. I would use it straight and then do a water rinse. Other than that, it seemed to work great for lifting the urine from the carpets and did help with the smell, but didn't take it away altogether. The carpets were so bad, I fear the only way to fix this is take them all out and replace. But until then...this works. **not MY carpets. I was hired to clean someone else's.**

Key lime scented mega stink destroyer
I've tried everything out there ! It's either weak or stinks, or too perfumed or just does not work! I have 7 dogs, I've had multiple dogs for 25 years, and I'm always cleaning, and I get to like something and find out it's discontinued! I ordered a gallon of this, and it is fabulous!!! Takes stains out, and STINK, urine, feces, vomit, you name it. I ordered 4 more gallons. I hope it doesn't get discontinued because its a powerful enzyme and it smells so nice and clean. Key lime scented. Only product I will use from here on.

I like this stuff! Love the clean, lime peel scent.
Good for clearing cat urine stench. Also good for infrequent cleaning of my stinky, sweaty yoga shred mat in summer. I usually use a gentle lavender cleaner made for yoga mats, but a good dose of this got it pristine smelling. I'm willing to chance infrequent mat cleanings with this as needed in future (wipe the yoga mat thoroughly with water afterwards. I'm not sure this stuff is meant for your skin. I had no reaction and my skin is somewhat sensitive, just be safe) I'm extremely sensitive to smells, though I enjoy good smells, high quality perfumes, etc. I detest chemical air fresheners, most scented candles, glade plug-ins, etc. Febreeze is just foul and they all give me toxic allergic reactions. My 20 year old, arthritic kitty could no longer get into her special enclosed litter box that I set up for her in my upstairs bedroom suite where she mostly stayed. She ended up using puppy pads outside the box for the most part. 1.5 years of ammonia stink, leaks onto my 112 year old fir wood floor, and puppy pads, bless her. She did her best, my little angel. She passed two weeks ago (and my other kitty manages to use the litter boxes in the basement). So with great relief, I removed the whole litterbox setup from upstairs. During the dotage of two kitties, who have both since passed, everytime I opened the door to upstairs, the stink was there, lingering, stressful, and I now realize, physically depressing. I realize I dreaded going upstairs. But my kitties enjoyed their lives and I loved them, so we did our best, using countless puppy pads (get your puppy pads at Sam's Club: 120 pads for about $16. Significantly cheaper than anywhere else), expensive electric air filters, and gallons and gallons of enzymatic and oxy cleaners. I used to use Natures Miracle by the gallon in the red bottle. It worked on cat urine, but left behind a very unnatural, lung piercing odor that actually made me sick. I switched to Natures Miracle Oxy orange scented cleaner. I don't think it worked as thoroughly on the urine, but it helped a lot and I could tolerate the scent. It had a more natural, fresh scent. I bought gallons and gallons of this. Every time I got a new bottle, I kept the aluminum seal on and carefully pierced it maybe 10 times times with a pin, so I could generously sprinkle it on messes, but not waste it by pouring it all out at once. This works really well. So after removing her box the final time, I drenched the wood floor of the litterbox alcove with a half gallon of N.M. Oxy orange and cleaned the wood stairs and everything with the Oxy cleaner. No more stink wafting out when I opened the door to upstairs! BUT still a faint pee pee scent when I went into the alcove. So I ordered this Biokleen lime enzymatic cleaner. It has a strong but pure lime peel scent when you first pour it out. Nothing chemical, nothing offensive to me. Just a clear, clean, gratifying scent that goes away once it dries. And it takes the pee smell with it! I sprinkled about a third gallon onto the 6' x 6' area of wood floor, thoroughly wet a Swiffer pad with the Biokleen and scrubbed it into the cracks in floor that had become darkened with pee pee leaks. I kept pouring more on the bad spots to keep the floor wet for several hours. I poured more into those cracks several times over the next couple days. Used over half gallon in the end. My old floors are pretty rustic, and had already been damaged by the pee, so I was willing to risk some minor additional damage to floor. It was worth it to me to get the odor out. Biokleen left a sheen on the wood floor and in the close up picture, you can see the dark areas. Pee made them dark first, and I really dont know if the Biokleen made them any worse, but today, the pee odor is GONE, simply gone. Yes. The Biokleen is good value too, compared to any of the Natures Miracle or other products marketed to pet owners. One more note, I used it on my gel foam mattress topper where my remaining kitty peed, (maybe commenting on his sister's death). The pee scent is gone, but a fake limey scent lingers. Doesn't smell as clean on mattress topper as does on other surfaces. It may not be completely dry yet, so I'm turning it over and keeping fans on it during day.

Amazing Product!!
My pup puked on my microfiber couch. I could not get that smell out. I tried this stuff, poured it right on, put a fan on above to help it dry. I had to repeat that twice as it had set for a few days before i got this. But after tge 2nd treatment the smell is GONE! Awesome stuff! So happy i tried it! Also you can not even tell i used it. No staining, no marks, no discoloration!

Great product, will buy again.
Buying in bulk is great value for money I have been using for a few months and it is still almost full. It is the same product as the smaller bottles, it smells the same (unscented) but also smells great. It is definitely effective at stain removal. The bottle is resilient and it is easy to use, i use the lid to measure for each wash. I also used it clean my carpet with my carpet washer and it was great for that too. Thanks for the great product.

Worth it
I never thought I'd find something to get the smell of cat pee out of my leather couch. Totally worth the money. I was nervous because our couches were expensive but I will buy again and it smells good.

Great for cloth nappies.
Used for cloth nappies and eliminating ammonia that wasn't washing out of the night-time ones. Seems to be working well. Much easier to use with the spray head, doesn't seem to foam though but not an issue for me.

Broken
I love this product, however the bottle arrived broken and most of it had leaked out. Very annoying considering the price.
