Easy to install, easy to check the voltage, works as described. We received it a week ago, I charged it fully and installed it. We have a new recliner and I have been running it back and forth more often than normal. I have charged my iPhone twice on the USB port. The phone was less than 50% and I charged it fully each time. I have also charged my laptop three times through the USB port, and sometimes leave it plugged in while I work on it. When I charge the Ibook it reduces the battery percentage noticeable, however after all that the battery is now at 33%. I have only charged it the one time and plan on letting it drop to 25% before recharging. At this rate that will be a few more days before it reaches 25%. When I don't use the USB it only drops a few percent per day. I believe after I have had this for a while I will be able to get a good 3 or 4 weeks between charges if I don't use the USB port. I may try to update this review to let you know how long It lasts in a few months. I really don't know if it is a value for the money so I gave that a 3 star. I have nothing to compare it to, as this is the first furniture battery I have ever bought. I'm not sure how a more expensive battery could work better, unless it is higher amperage. (which would increase the price) Yes this is a good battery. I would advise you to disregard the one star reviews. You can't go wrong with this.

Yes, You Can Keep It Plugged in 24/7...Works Great in Power Outages!!!
I was initially a bit leery about this battery pack, but after contacting the manufacturer and having my questions answered I went ahead and ordered it and am glad I did! This pack is for a disabled family member's electric sit/stand recliner. After he was stranded in it several times during abrupt power outages, enough was enough, he needed something that could remain plugged in and act as a source of power during any of the many power outages we experience in our rural location. We didn't want the hassle of plugging/charging/unplugging repeatedly, and this meets our needs. It can remain plugged in, which does not harm the battery, and as soon as the power goes out we know that our family member is not stuck and unable to get out of his chair until we get the home generator going (usually within a few hours if he's home alone in a power outage, within 30 minutes if we're home). All in all, this provides great reassurance and a viable way to prevent the dreaded "help I'm stuck in full recline and the power just went out and I have to get out of the chair to use the bathroom" panic mode our loved one had to endure. So far, we have had 3 power outages, all in the early evening, one of which lasted 6 hours, and he was able to continue using his recliner just fine...when the power came back on after the 6-hour outage the battery pack registered a charge of 98%. This was with him using the lift feature several times and adjusting the foot rise and back support constantly. I highly recommend this pack to be used in any way you wish...either to be charged and then unplugged from the wall and used as the power source until it alerts you to recharge it again, or kept plugged into the wall outlet and attached to the chair so the pack acts as an emergency power source during power outages.

Battery life is terrible - *updated**
**Update** After working with the seller, they sent us a new battery. Our original must have been a lemon. New battery has lasted almost 2 weeks and still 90%. If you have a short battery life it may just be bad one. Review changed to 5 stars .. mainly for sellers quick response and resolution Original review below... We've had this pack for about a month now. We have this operating a dual reclining sofa. With minimal usage, we're lucky to get a solid week out of a charge. The low battery alarm.. actually alerts when the battery is dead, not when it's low. That's extremely inconvenient. It's very frustrating, because of course, the battery dies when the chair is on its way up or down. It definitely takes 4-5 hrs for a full charge, which is really a pain.

It’s easy to charge, easy to install and the battery seems to last quite a while. Nothing I dislike.

I like that the charge last a long time and don’t have to worry about a plug in so gives you many options for placing furniture
