This is one of the most practical and eye-opening personal finance books I’ve read. The author explains complex topics like investing, saving, and financial independence in a clear and straightforward way that’s easy to understand, whether you’re just starting out or already managing your money. What I liked most is the conversational tone — it really feels like a wise uncle sharing real-life advice without using complicated jargon. The core message of investing in low-cost index funds, avoiding debt, and thinking long-term may sound simple, but it’s backed by solid logic and real experience. Knowing that the author wrote this book for his daughter makes it even more meaningful, and I’d definitely give the same kind of advice to my own as well. A great read that I completely devoured in a week!

Questo è il parere di un neofita. L'autore è molto bravo a mettere in ordine le sue idee. Ho comprato questo libro poichè avevo bisogno di comprendere meglio alcuni aspetti del mondo degli investimenti e questo libro non solo mi ha aiutato, ma ha anche confermato ciò che avevo letto in altri libri, ossia che se si vuole investire, non speculare, bisogna optare per fondi indicizzati. Tutto sommato, JL Collins è riuscito a mettere nero su bianco una vera e propria guida su come raggiungere la libertà finanziaria, attraverso strategie, consigli, esperienze personali e case studies. Se cerchi un libro che parla del perchè e come dovresti iniziare ad investire in fondi indicizzati al più presto, questo è il libro che fa per te.

I'm in the UK but still found this an excellent read. There's a few chapters on US investment accounts like 401(k)s and IRAs, but these aren't a significant part of the book. The main stuff - index funds, fees, spending less than you earn etc all apply in the UK as well, as does the 4% (or 25x rule). A good accompaniment is the Minimalist Investor UK book by David D'Angelo which covers SIPPs, ISA, salary sacrifice etc.

Simplement le meilleur livre sur le sujet de la finance/investissement personnel. Si vous devez acheter un livre c’est celui là.

Gosto muito do jeito que o autor discorre sobre finanças para a organização da nossa vida, com conselhos simples e um discurso fácil. As situações que ele narra mostram como podemos começar pequeno (e cedo) para garantir a certeza de uma vida bem vivida.
