Ortho GroundClear Weed & Grass Killer Super Concentrate1, 32 fl. oz.

It seems every weed season some products vanish and others arrive on the scene. This version of Groundclear concentrate had pretty good reviews so I gave it a try. Chasing weeds for months on end is no fun so if I can find something that works fast and keeps my yard weed free I happily go all in. It's a killer is all I can say. There wasn't a weed that I sprayed that didn't die in 48 hours and the vast majority were dead in a couple of hours. Whatever is in here it makes things get dead fast. I have a patio, long walkway, and a very large area filled with river rocks that all seem to be heaven for weeds. They quickly became weed free for me using this stuff. The price on this jumps around A LOT so we'll see what happens this year but if it remains affordable, it will be my go to once again.

Easy to mix concentrate. Worked like a charm. Sprayed yesterday and today the vegetation is gone! Good value, I made 5 gallon of solution with the 32 oz bottle. No stinky oder.

Does a fair job.

I used it at the recommended concentration and it killed a little more than half the weeds but some started coming back after a few weeks. I used it again at double strength and it killed every plant. Only a few have started growing again.

Seems to work good. Used this on a fence line where the grass was probably a foot tall. About 3 or 4 days later you could see it working. Ordered a second bottle. Price seems better than competitor..

We live on just over an acre in central Arizona and moved into an area that is infested with Silverleaf Nightshade (Solanum elaeagnifolium, or aka Horesenettle) which is a toxic, tough, nasty, perennial weed from the Nightshade family, poisonous to both humans and animals if ingested, especially the numerous yellow berries it produces. It spreads quickly through an extensive tuberous and woody root system and has sharp tiny painful spines covering the entire stems and even leaves. It is extremely difficult to control and requires numerous treatments and vigilance to eradicate as it pop up everywhere from the central sytem. This Ortho "super concentrate", which works down through the root sytems of these broadleaf obnoxious weeds (and many others), is one of the few effective controls I have found. Glycophosphate-based (the basic "Roundup types", etc) weed killers will only give temporary control. It is cost-effective compared to the pre-mixed stuff, especially if you have large areas to cover. Be careful when using it as it contains 2,4-D and Dicamba (3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid). Do not use near any sensitive or wanted plants when temperatures are above 80 degrees, or even a slight breeze, as 2,4-D and Dicamba will vaporize and drift onto them, damaging and even killing them as well. I know, as the volatilization killed a few of my young grapevines when I used another weed killer (Crossbow) containing 2,4-D when it was 95 degrees. This applies to weed killers carrying Triclopyr as well, so read and adhere to the instructions and BE CAREFUL.

I thought the Original Ortho Ground Clear was good until I used this, this stuff is no joke. This container seems expensive BUT it also makes over 2 gallons as opposed to 1 gallon in the same size container of the original Ground Clear. So, ounce for ounce its price is pretty equivalent.

I bought the concentrate, followed mixing directions and used a tank spraying to apply. I soaked the foliage of the grassy weeds and regular weeds. It killed a few of the regular old weeds, but 24 hours later the grassy weeds are as green and healthy as ever. I wish it was illegal to claim a thing kills grassy weeds when it does not.
