5 Stars with only one small caveat...
I absolutely love my Zwilling Fresh and Save "La Mer" products (the ones with the blue rubber seals). The La Mer is a newer design than the old containers that have lids with gray rubber. Many reviewers said the gray rubber lids crack. Pictures in reviews for the gray rubber lids show less ribbing on the underside. These La Mer Lids have lots of ribs underneath and are extremely sturdy. Using the vacuum attachment (which is not included with these "single" containers, it's sold separately or in starter sets) with any of the containers keeps my leftovers and herbs and fruit and veggies so much longer in the fridge. I'm definitely wasting way less food now. I did originally buy a 16-piece set directly from Zwilling (& even bought another set at k o s t c o online - waaaay cheaper) but needed some extra containers so bought a couple here on Amazon. The containers are very thick. I usually put them in the microwave when reheating but understand you can put them (not the lids) in the oven too. My only small issue (I won't remove a star...more a wish list item) is that I would like the containers to have a lip around the outside edge (like my glass Rubbermade containers). I wash these Fresh and Save containers by hand because I have a problem with my old dishwasher as it scores/scratches my glass containers so it's harder to get a good grip on the Fresh and Save containers when soaped up. Being thick and smooth they can get very slippery. I'm just afraid that I'll drop one in the sink so I'm very careful and take my time when washing. That's my only gripe. I have been recommending the Zwilling La Mer Fresh and Save to all of my friends and family. Just recently bought another set for a friend's birthday gift. Buy these, they are well made and should last a long, long time.

A new and very useful way to store food in the fridge
We aren’t often on the cutting edge of new kitchen techniques, and I suppose vacuum packing has been around far too long for me to claim front-of-the-line status for that, but for us these Zwilling glass vacuum containers and their nifty little pump for extracting air qualify as a breakthrough! There’s clear evidence that the vacuum packing does preserve foods longer, and since we’ve been in the process of weeding out all plastic leftover containers -regardless of supposed absence of BPAs and their many relatives - in favor of glass, that provided another nudge to try these. The cylindrical rechargeable pump (I’ll likely review it separately) is easy to handle and use and makes these containers just the thing. The pump lasts a long time on a charge via an included charging cord, and it’s scarcely moments before the air is sucked out and away. I believe (but am not certain) that the lovely sea-blue trim color oddly called “La Mer” on these German-made glass containers is a newer one? The others I’ve seen online have gray trim. Beyond color, the La Mer incarnation has one-piece lids where I think the gray lids are in two layers. A modest convenience, too. I’m sure I’m not the first to lament the high price of these containers, but shifting from toxic and impermanent plastic to glass that should last us for good, helps to cushion the pain upfront. And the availability of the vacuum feature in conjunction with them is a real perk. Since at least so far as I saw (and without an exhaustive investigation), the sizes for the La Mer offerings are limited and mostly rather large, so I hope to try some smaller sized gray lidded ones, too, which I believe use the same vacuum pump. And that may also be a bit less pricey. It’s helpful that the Zwilling glass containers are marked on the site with their dimensions in inches. That’s a lot more than I can say for the Pyrex “Simple Store” non-vacuum glass containers with lids. I searched every nook and crevice of the Amazon listing for them and utterly failed to find any descriptor that wasn’t in volume measurement: e.g. the number of cups capacity. I confess I’m not much of a cook, but to me the phrase “6 cups” is meaningless as a way of understanding size in 3-dimensions. At least Zwilling isn’t so pompous about it and gives three dimensions as H x W x L. I’m sure I’m just being picky to want them to call length by that term, rather than by “Height” when it is no such thing. But if I think again about cupsful, I quickly embrace inches by any name. If you can accept the price tag for these, I think having good safe glass instead of plastic of any stripe is worth a good bit. And while I wouldn’t ever plan to use these as our only glass refrigerator containers because of that cost, I do think the vacuum feature made so easily usable is a real plus. Many vacuum packing devices are paired with plastic containers; even worse, often with plastic bags and other collapsible shapes. Even if I didn’t loathe plastic in contact with any food, I would be delighted to avoid cleaning plastic bags (yuck!) in favor of washing solid structured containers.

Use every single day to carry my fried eggs to work. Very happy from it. Thanks again.

Lo use para guardar fresa y deje otras pocas en otro traste y las que guarde al vacío llevan allí 5 días y aún están bien mientras que las que guarde en otro traste ya están enlamadas

I can tell the difference from food I stored in the freezer with traditional storage containers and these vacuum sealed ones. Food lasts and no freezer burn! Will slowly replace all our containers, especially the plastic.

Goodbye to all the Tupperwear, zip locks, and finding the covers for them. This sealer is amazing and quick to use. The containers are awesome when you have more left overs and keep in the fridge longer.
