Cleure Mineral Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide - Broad Spectrum SPF 30 - Face & Body (4 oz, Pack of 1)

Last year, I developed very sensitive skin when I used any sunscreen, with spray sunscreen being the worst. I tried an alcohol free version and still had the sensitivity. Although I didn't develop a rash as most people do, my skin would start itching the next day after using a product and continued itching for a full 4 to 5 days after using them. The itch was unbearable and even Benadryl didn't help. I began a search for a better product that wouldn't cause the dreadful itch. I read an article about the 10 best sunscreens for sensitive skin and Cleure Sensitive Sunscreen was among the top 10. Therefore, I decided to try it. I used it on a Monday and as of Thursday I did not have the itch. It also provided protection from burning, another positive. Although I have only used it once so far, I am truly impressed and will continue to use it in the future. The only negative I see so far is that I have to have help to apply this to my back. Another very small negative is that the label wasn't placed correctly...but I don't mind.

I switched to this product because it is in my "Safe For Me" list on Skin Safe. It's expensive but if you are stuck with a skin condition and need to avoid troubling triggers, it is well worth it! I've only used it a few weeks but given the thickness of the product, I imagine one tube will last me quite a while.

One of the best sunscreens I have ever used. I have very sensitive skin and have had problems with other popular products causing my skin to break out with rash that would be very un-comfortable for days. Cleure is pricey but worth every penny. Would recommend for anyone with sensitive skin

I always look for physical sunscreens for my face, so I was happy to give this Cleure a try. PROS: - Mineral based, cruelty free, reef safe - seems to use gentle and thoughtful ingredients. - Doesn’t have much white cast on my medium-light toned face, not greasy, no scent. I can’t stand the stickiness of most sunscreens. but this feels like nothing after a while, and can even put moisturizer over it. CONS: - Only 30 SPF - too low for my preference. Fine for an overcast day, but I want 40+ for a day in the sun, especially on my face. Maybe this is why it’s not as white on the skin. - Expensive. If I have to apply every 2 hours minimum, this 4 oz bottle won’t last long. - Doesn’t say where it’s made on the bottle or the listing. That usually means it was not made in the USA.

In recent months I have become sensitive to quite a few chemicals. This is one of the only sunscreen products which I can use without causing a rash on my face. It does what it says, protects from the sun but I look like a geisha doll. It does make your skin look ghostlike and it does not provide any moisture to the skin. If you are looking for sun protection with few chemicals and additives and you don't mind dry, pasty looking skin then this is for you.
