I’ve never had a phone with a kickstand before but decided I wanted to try one out but wanted to use my own case and not one with a built in kickstand (mostly because they usually put the kickstand in the way of the wireless charging area.) I figured somebody made a universal, stick-on one, but aside from cheap plastic ones I only found this one and the Spigen one. I found the Spigen one first and liked the design but they don’t seem to hold up very well from reviews. Then I found this ESR one which I think looks much better, has better reviews, and appears to be more durable. I made the right choice. I also purchased the UAG Monarch case as I was looking for a phone case that had some type of recessed areas in it that I could stick the kickstand to so it doesn’t stick out beyond the rest of the phone. I had to do a bit of rotary tool work to grind out a spot so it doesn’t look perfect but it works perfectly. You could probably use any case with some thickness but you’d either need to have some ingenuity, a drill press, or CNC machine if you want it to sit perfectly flush in a flat case. Or you can just stick it on top of any case or even the phone itself if you don’t mind having the phone not sit completely flat. In the end I’m happy with the results, the kickstand holds my iPhone 11 Pro Max both vertically and horizontally and the kickstand feels very sturdy like it won’t break with some pressure being applied to it and the hinge mechanism is also very tight and doesn’t feel like it’s going to get loose or flimsy any time soon. My only minor complaint is it’s really hard to dig out the kickstand with your nail if you just trimmed them. Even when they’re longer it’s kinda a tight space and you usually scrape a bit of your nail off on the aluminum edge. They did made a tapered edge to lift the kickstand up with but there’s still a small raised edge on the base of the kickstand that I think is a bit in the way. You could probably grind it down but you’d also ruin the finish and I don’t plan on using it all the time so it’s something I can live with. I’d have to say without a doubt this is the best quality universal kickstand you can buy and there’s a lot of creative ways you can set it up.

This is by far the best phone kickstand on the market. Functions as a comfortable grip and a sturdy stand for both orientations. The provided adhesive does wear out after a few months, but invest in a roll of 3M double sided tape to reapply it. While the provided tape is 3M, the double sided roll on Amazon is insanely strong and never requires a reapplication. After a year the hinge finally busted on the kickstand. Extremely good value for the price. Especially compared to the popular brands on the market.

It's really the perfect stand! I have had three of these (because the others were attached to phones that I sold), and have tried other designs, but none were as good as this. As for for the adhesive, it's plenty strong enough. Wash your hands. Clean your phone case well with Windex or vinegar. Dry it thoroughly. The wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, and dry it very well. Peel the backing from the adhesive and press the stand firmly into place, holding for about a minute. Then be careful with it for the first 24 hours. Do not try to use this on a frosted, or textured case, nor a case that is made from silicone, and you'll be fine. It works very well, whether you stand the phone vertically or horizontally. You can always buy double-sided tape or 3M adhesive strips if you want or need to reposition it, or move it to a new phone. The current stand is now attached to it's 2nd phone, and has been for well over a year.

I've been using this kickstand for about a week now and for what it is and for the price it's really good. You just can't beat 11 dollars, however there are a few things I've noticed. Cons - • the the adhesive on the kickstand itself is weak • after one shift of working with my phone in my pocket, the kickstand nearly came off by itself in mt pocket. • the weak adhesive also made the stand itself wonky and awkward to use standing up. You could angle it differently to provide more structure but it still left me wanting more. Pros - • luckily there is a solution for the weak adhesive. When you unpack the little kickstand you'll notice it uses a 3m adhesive strip. I bought a pack of 3m adhesive strips for 6 dollars, cut it out for the length to the kickstand and all the cons immediately went away. It's stronger than ever! • it uses real steel/metal so it's very durable however it does add some weight which may be a con for some people. • and finally it's simple, no fuss, and works everytime you need it to. My advice is to immediately get some 3m strips and help your little kickstand buddy out and it won't disappoint you. Overall, I would recommend this product if you're like me and you have a case without a kickstand built in. That being said, I would recommend to find a case with a built in kickstand if possible and please do not attach this kickstand to the back of your bare phone. However some cases with kickstands are not the greatest therefore this is a fine substitute for what it is. Just add your own adhesive strip! It'll make it putrude slightly but you'll be happy when you can brush your teeth and have your phone stand up stable. This is an accessory you don't realize you need until you have it so just take the chance, make yourself happy and give it a shot. This little thing is so durable I'll just remove it from my s25 ultra when I stop using it and attach it with another 3m adhesive strip when I get another phone in the next 5 years. If it doesn't last for 5 years then oh well I'll just buy another one! But for the week I've had it it's a fantastic purchase

Great Functionality, Adhesive Could Be Better I really like this iPhone kickstand overall. The stand itself works great—I can watch movies horizontally or set it up vertically for video calls with no problem. It feels sturdy and holds the phone at a good angle. The only downside was the adhesive. It didn’t stick very well at first, and I ended up using a bit of super glue to keep it secure. Once I did that, it’s been perfect.

It’s very light and small and just works, i got one last year for my old phone (smooth surface, never peeled off) and just got it again for a leather case (I expected it would not stick, tiny bit of super glue did the magic). You will probably have two issues you should be aware of because the stand obviously takes some space of the back of the case - I cannot use magnetic wallet - you might have issues with magnetic charger (my Anker is small round charger and works just fine)

Received quick. Packaged well. The adhesive that came with the stand, does not support the weight of the phone when use for standing phone straight up and down. Kickstand would just fall off. I replaced the adhesive with some extra thick 3m double sided tape I had at home. Now the kickstand is secure, no issues

I purchased this 3 years ago. Used it for a while and then got a new phone case with a built-in kickstand so I didn’t need it anymore. Until the built-in kickstand on my new phone case broke. I was able to replace the broken kickstand with this ESR kickstand. This comes with at least 2 adhesives. So this kickstand had been on this purple phone case for about 18 months. The adhesive just gave way so I replaced it now in March 2025. This is better than the built-in kickstand that broke. I applied it to the “well” where I removed the broken kickstand. It’s flush with the rest of the case and I think this helps keep it from falling off, especially since I keep my phone in my pockets a lot. Initially I was able to make it stand in portrait orientation, but after a couple of phone drops it weakened the hinge so now I can only use it in landscape mode (unless I lean it on something). I would 100% buy this again. In fact when I need a new phone case I’ll prob get one similar to this purple case where I can remove the built-in kickstand and replace it with an ESR kickstand. I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a phone case with ALL the features I want (camera cover and kickstand that works in both portrait and landscape orientation).

It looks small but is hell of a product , used many models earlier , but this one if fixed at the right spot on the back , does what it stays , keeps the mobile straight like a giraffe , very stable and a no non sense product , good simple innovative product

This stand is much better than other similar products. Looks high quality and so far hasn't let me down. Has replaced the larger stand at my desk. While typing in vertical position, it's better to use one hand to hold the phone. In horizontal position make sure to follow the instructions as per the guide. The glue takes time to set in. Keep that in mind. A must have accessory for your phone.
