Can you carry this on a flight? Or will they make you check it?

You can easily carry this bag on a flight. Great bag.

Can you use this for figure skates?

The boots/skates are on the outside, with no restrictions. I guess you could use with skates, although honestly I did not use this bag. I want my boots at least a little protected so I bought a bag where the boots are inside.

I did not get the support plates with mine. Are they sold separately?

I bought it last year so have the older version without it and didn’t have any issues. Contact them or do an exchange with Amazon to see if the next one comes with it. I really like this boot bag as it holds everything and then some!
