I don’t play around
Boomers, always good, what’s not to like? I have purchased Boomers as long as two years prior to using them and they were still fresh when I opened them. Since I started using them I no longer need to seal strings with my Food Sealer as soon as I get them home. Their tone lasts longer than most strings I have used. I use them on my Lucille, Strat, Schecter 8 strings & PRS. Wouldn’t leave home without them. Highly recommended!

Going deep.
When your standard 8 string tunings just aren't enough and you're ready to get super deathly these guys will deliver just that. It was my first time with GHS strings and I was a little skeptical having always gone with D'Addario and Gibson strings, but these are fine. My only gripe has not to with the product, but with the fact that the 85 string is so thick I had to use a drill to make it fit. Just a minor alter and hiccup before laying into them. I bought them specifically to play a super LOW drop C# tuning and they're holding up to it quite well.

The thickest commercially (packed) available strings. They work really well on my 26.5 inch scale and I'd highly recommend them.

Good all around, will buy again.
Pretty nice strings all around, they seem to perform just fine. It's difficult to find 8 string sets with an 85 for the F# string. The low B string could be a tad thicker for optimum tension, but that's just my opinion. I will buy more in the future.

Great but 8th string did not fit my tuners. Lol love ghs. Always great product.

as good as you would expect from more popular or well known brands, but I went with these for the better choice of sets for my 28" 8 string guitar.

Missing string
Incredible, I ordered the 8 string set and the 6th string (gauge .48) was missing. Never happened something like this.

Drop E Saiten
Mir gefallen die Saiten, auch wenn ich mich erstmal an Multiscale gewöhnen muss. Für Drop E sind diese Saiten ganz gut, aber jetzt nicht mega Stimmstabil. Ich bin aber auch Evertune gewöhnt. (Hab die Saiten auf einer G4M 529 Pro montiert) Am besten wird die Stimmung in Drop F# gehalten. Damit lässt sich Meshuggah oder Fear Factory gut spielen. Würde den Klang als ausgeglichen bezeichnen, wobei der günstige original Humbucker auch einiges an Transparenz klaut. Mit einem 808x lassen sich bestimmt bessere Töne rausholen. Bevor die dicke Saite dünner wird, gelangt diese schon durch die Stimmkurbel. Der Durchmesser passt aber. Die dünnste Saite hingegen rutscht gnadenlos durch. Wird wohl Zeit für Locking Tuner oder halt viel Wicklung. Hierbei aufpassen. Bin zufrieden, 6 Saiten kamen in Plastikverpackung und die dicksten 2 in einer Papierverpackung. Da wurde wohl der Saitensatz ergänzt. Aber alles top :) Haltbarkeit wird sich noch zeigen. Mal sehen, ob die so lange halten wie die Ernie Ball Saiten.

boomers sind generell sehr qualitativ, doch dieses 8-saiter-set ist einfach nur genial: immens stimmstabil, bässe sehr ausgewogen, höhen fein abgestimmt.
