Amazing coffee brewer!
Just got it today and tested it, excellent item! Very practical when going outside to save money from buying coffee on the shop. Just buy your own coffee beans, grind them. Bring it to work, just get hot water anywhere and done.

Produces tasty coffee but kind of heavy
Tried using both off the shelf pre ground coffee and one that I manually grind. Both tasted good. Planning to bring this for travel. Its kind of heavy and I am not yet used to the screw method for coffee extraction. Already have Aeropress, Kompresso, Phin Filter, Nanopresso. This one is a nice addition to my travel coffee makers.

best americano maker
I have used it a couple of times since I have purchased it, and it makes a very smooth and tasty black coffee, I am giving one star less because its does not come with a drinking lid. I recommend this product for coffee lovers,

The eternal twist!!!
Well made and of high quality, coffee is not bad either ONCE you have been thru the hell of eternally twisting the orange ring. I played rugby all my life and am pretty strong but have blisters on both of my thumbs having used it only twice over two days…. It really shouldn’t be this difficult to operate! Pity. Otherwise great.

This makes delicious coffee. It takes a little bit of getting used to to develop the right sense of when it is at the end of the vacuum and it’s ready to come off. There is a squeaking that happens near the end of the coffee canister and then a slight release in pressure when you know you’re on the top and it’s finished extracting. I highly recommend removing the top to release pressure before you try to separate the vacuuming component from the thermos on the bottom. I learned this the hard way, but I have hands that can touch heat directly from many years of cooking so even though coffee went everywhere I was fine. Now I know better to make sure to release the vacuum pressure before I remove the vacuum mechanism. You will have to experiment to find the right sized grind. I found it to be somewhere between a finer version French press yet not an espresso grind that works best. I really love the flavor profile this device brings to coffee. There are more subtle notes that the vacuum process produces than any other way. It’s much more similar to a percolator without the glass explosion danger. It’s really very easy to use once you get the hang of it. I really love the fact of its portability and how long it keeps a brew hot in a very well insulated cup. It’s very lightweight so easily can be packed and taken on the go. The cover top snapped into place very tightly. I am hoping that this actually is a little bit easier overtime with use since I find it so tight that it tends to spill. I struggle with it but it may get easier with use over time. When I do the extraction I just leave the cover on top without pressing it into place since I find it too difficult to take off without a tool once pressurized. Perhaps the little brush that comes with it can act like a little screwdriver to pop the lid. I’ll try that. The screw process doing the vacuum can be a little challenging for someone with small hands. I found for myself. I leave it on the counter and then put it on a small kitchen rag so that I can spin it freely without gripping on the counter. It is actually nice that there is a little grippy material on the bottom of the thermos canister part. These are very well-made products, extremely creative designs, and highly functional for the price point especially. Made for true coffee connoisseurs and does not disappoint.

The PipaMoka allows me to make a good cup of coffee quickly, and all that's needed is some hot water. The quality of Wacaco equipment is outstanding. Pushing the water through the grinds with vacuum suction speeds up the brewing process (my Vietnamese coffee maker, which I love, takes about 5 minutes for 100 ml of coffee). In my view, the great advantage over the Aeropress is the fact that the system is closed so to speak. Everything is inside a sealed container and you only have to turn the orange ring to pull the vacuum (note: this actually takes some strength). With the Aeropress, you have to push down hard with a device that's just propped up on some arbitrary mug. I also like the fact that the coffee accumulates in a double walled thermo mug, keeping it warm, in case you brew and then take the sealed container away, say to a meeting. The filter basked is of high quality, easy to load, and easy to clean. The plastic is generally of high quality (the grey and orange colour arrangement makes it look though as if it was hacked together from some Gardena garden watering equipment :-).
