Makes me happy every time I use it: Better than expected. It's great!
This rice cooker makes me happy every time I use it. It's one of the best small appliances I've ever bought. I *absolutely* would buy this again! It's the right size--fits on the counter, makes enough for 2-3 generous servings, easy & compact to store. It's flexible--Brown rice, white rice, sushi, rice+quinoa, rice with veggies, veggie steamer, rice casseroles/pilafs/risotto, oatmeal. Easy & fast to clean--either in the sink or in the dishwasher. Time Saver--no more hovering over a pot & tweaking temperatures to steam my rice properly. IMPORTANT: Follow the instructions!!! & results are consistently great. Only 2 gripes: The steamer basket & rice paddle. They're plastic, so I swapped them for a silicone spatula & steel steamer (personal preferences).

Inexpensive and Works Well
I decided to try out a rice cooker to see if it was a better way to cook rice than with just a pot on the stove. I wanted just a basic cooker, so I bought this one. It works well if you're just looking for a basic cooker at an inexpensive price. It doesn't have all the features more expensive cookers have, but it still does a nice job with cooking rice. The cleanup afterwards is easy. The only feature that would have made this unit even better would have been a timer, so I just use a kitchen timer. I haven't tried steaming vegetables in it yet, but I think it will do a good job based on my experience with cooking rice.

Easy to use
This is the perfect size for my family of 4. It cooks the rice perfectly every time. Be sure to rinse your rice really well first to avoid clumps.

Black & Decker 6 cup rice cooker
So this is only my second use in this product. I did notice that a lot of reviews say that the durability is trash if that comes up, I will edit my review but for now it’s exactly what I needed. It’s just me and my son I’m not allowed to eat as much rice so it’s a perfect size. I do wish that I had got the one just a little bit bigger for when I do want to do bigger things of rice but that’s OK. I just wanted to test it out. I do recommend that if you don’t like your rice so mushy to do a half a cup less than it recommends. The shut off feature is precise that switches it to warm after the rice is done cooking. It’s nice and fluffy once I figured out how much water to put to my rice to my liking I mean with any product you have to be careful with it. I’m hoping it doesn’t break because I do like it, but we’ll see what happens and like I said I’ll come back to rewrite my review if anything happens for now it’s a great product and I think it’s a wonderful addition to my little tiny makeshift kitchen.

Perfect for morons who can't cook two ingredients. Like me.
This has to be the least expensive non stick cook ware ever available on amazon. I am one of those males who has a hard time doing anything for himself and I usually just go to the store and buy beef jerky and consider that a meal alongside my coffee but this rice cooker has changed my life I think. It's been two weeks and I've done nothing but make rice it even has a marker on it that lets you know if you're about to screw up your rice or not because it does everything for you after you fill the water to the line. I was scared at first because the instruction manual is as thick as a novel but sadly it is the same directions repeated 36 times in 12 languages for what I assume is the purpose to prevent idiots from melting the plastic dish that comes with the cooker. It doesn't actually tell you what the dish is for it just says to remove it before you heat anything. It can't be used a strainer because the holes are too big and you can't put dry rice on it because it'll stick to the plastic. There's a really wide spoon it comes with too and I'm just guessing that's for shoveling it into my mouth which I've been doing regularly. It works like a toaster so you can't screw it up even if you tried, and you can even leave it on for six days or until your roommates discover you've left it on again while you were asleep. Don't touch the little metal ring on the inside while it's plugged in. The instruction manual actually says not to do this but I tried it anyway and now and missing a layer skin on the index finger of my right hand so you've been warned.

It’s ok.
I know now to cook rice on the stove top but thought a rice cooker would be better to use. I don’t like the way it cooks the rice. I followed the instructions and the rice was very mushy and the steam pushed water down the cooker and made a mess.

Good, but small.
This replaced an old Black & Decker steamer which had the base holding the heater as the water container and a plastic upper section which was very spacious. I had to replace the older steamer because it started to leak. This new steamer is more compact, which is both good and bad. The design is improved as the heater is now seperate from the water container so leaking won't be an issue. So far I've used it only to reheat fresh but cold Char Su Bau (pork buns) from the grocery deli. It works well for that with one exception. The actual space for what you're steaming, if it is NOT rice, is very limited. 2 pork buns sort of fit but I have to crush down on the lid. I should have bought a larger one. Also note the instructions say do NOT use any kind of abrasive or pad on the water chamber/rice holder or you will damage the (non stick?) finish.

Works flawlessly as intended
This little wonder saves me so much time during meal prepping. It's also very simple to use. I follow the instructions and use the measuring cup provided, add the necessary level of water and in less then 20 minutes, I have perfectly cooked rice. I usually add a bit of olive oil and spices to my rice and it always turns out perfect. I use basmati (wash it first). Also very easy to wash. I use the sponge side to wash the inside by hand and avoid scratches. Highly recommended. I've had it on a deal ($30) a few months back.

Literally unusable in the country it's sold in
Why would you sell an item in the UK that doesn't have a usable plug? I've even bought a specific Asia/US/AUS converter but it's a specific plug with one large prong than the other that doesn't even work with that. Why does the product say NOTHING about this in the description. What a waste of time. Can't even review it properly BECAUSE IT CAN'T BE USED

Reliable rice cooker
This rice cooker cooks rice perfectly every time. I even use it for making quick soups and stews for myself. I use it weekly - I keep it on the countertop all the time. It's quick & easy to wash & rinse out by hand. DONT put it in the dishwasher! I did that with my last one and it ruined the finish.
