Instant Pot Stainless Steel Inner Cooking Pot 6-Qt, Polished Surface, Rice Cooker

This is perfect for the Crockpot brand (instapot/pressure cooker) I have. I press sauté to heat the pot a little and when a drop of water sizzles I then I add some olive oil on the bottom then my recipe. No more worry of family members using metal and scratching the non stick pot making the nonstick unsafe. The pot is slightly smaller circumference wise but still works perfectly with the lid secured. I ended up finding at thrift store this same amazing item, praise the Lord!

Replaces my Chef IQ pot that was scratched. Perfect fit, no nonstick coating to scratch. Nice quality too.

I purchased my 6 qt duo 7 two years ago and consider it a good purchase. The Instantpot is really nice for many reasons, two big ones, especially for the not so strong young and old are that it is not heavy cooking with it and cleaning it afterward and is quiet in operation. Before the Instantpot I used a 6 qt Presto stainless steel pressure cooker for about 40 years, it is quite heavy to use and clean after cooking and is very noisy in use. People that never used a stove top pressure cooker can't relate to a noisy pressure cooker experience and the unjustified fear some people had to not use one. I used mine for 40 years and it never blew up! This inner pot is a twin to the original in fit and finish so I consider it a good purchase also. My experience learned the hard way is to use at least 3 cups of liquid when pressure cooking, no liquid obviously results in a smelly mess and ruined food. I bought a glass lid lid to use with my 6 qt duo 7 for when not pressure cooking food, I use the glass lid often. The Bellemain Stainless Steel Fine Mesh Steamer Steamer Basket for 6 Quart Instant Pot is an excellent partner to the 6 qt duo pot. One last item, purchase extra silicon gaskets, after cooking meat they will retain the meat smell and smell will not wash off. Vinegar or lemon juice will remove the smell but is a chore clean it so it may be wise to have a few spare gaskets on hand anyway, one for vegetables and other for meat. I cooked rice in my Instantpot once or twice, not a good experience for me. I prefer Lundberg wild rice mix cooked with low sodium chicken broth, not water using my Sanyo fuzzy logic rice cooker instead. Cooking this rice I use 8 oz cup rice to 8 oz chicken broth, yields a crunchy nutty texture rice, for softer rice increase the liquid.

I've had my I-Pot nearly two years, buying the Duo six quart and loving it. I use mine almost daily, and came to realize that there were times that I would use my I-Pot for food but having to stop and clean the pot between applications Therefore, I purchased a second pot. It should be kept in mind that these pot inserts are the equal to any fine stainless steel pots for stovetop use. I learned quickly that I didn't need any four, five or six quart pots, so I gave mine away in the interest of space saving. The only thing these pot inserts lack are handles, and for my needs, that is no drawback at all. In fact, using these on a stovetop without handles means they won't snag! I own the I-Pot accessory glass lid, so that if I'm using this on the stovetop or in the I-Pot, I can easily see what's inside. A use that I've enjoyed is the ability to deep fry in this superb pot. Because of the very heavy base under the pot, it is perfect for holding the oil temperature steady while frying. Because this is a high quality and very smooth stainless steel pot, food doesn't stick. This is the reason people are selling themselves short by buying cheaper multi-pots that have a flimsy aluminum pot insert with 'nonstick' finish that is guaranteed to flake off in food. As I've recommended the Instant Pot, I also recommend this dual-duty pot insert.

It came quickly! As I ordered two other items from Instant Pot, it was new in box and in another packing box. I ordered the Round Cook Pan with silicone cover and removable divider. It too was new in package and in excellent condition. Highly recommend both 👍🏻

The Instant Pot Stainless Steel insert fit my Instant Pot Duo Crisp 6L without any problems and is now something I use all the time. Not sure why some reviewers mention issues — mine works exactly as expected.

This is a good quality pot. Nice and solid, and cleans up easily. Pay attention that it says it's not for other brands than Instant Pot. Three years ago when I bought mine, it did not say that. In fact, people were saying they used it in their other pressure cookers. All this time I thought my Nesco pressure cooker was no good, because it could not hold a seal. After replacing two seals which I had only used a few times each, I gave up and stopped using my Nesco. Recently I bought a Fagor. Same problem. All this time I thought it was faulty seals. Now I realize it was because the pot didn't fit properly. (They look identical, so I thought it was fine.) Since I don't like to use non-stick, I had never tried to use the pots that came with either pressure cooker. Sure enough, I got out the Fagor nonstick insert, tested it with the seal that I thought was ruined, and it worked! Now I wish I had bought the Instant Pot pressure cooker in the first place instead of the Nesco. I would have been happy for three years. (Until I was tossing some food from the pot out for my chickens, dropped the pot, and ruined it because now it is dented. Fortunately it did not land on a chicken!) But this pot is way better quality than the ones that come standard with either the Nesco or the Fagor. And I have read that the Fagor offers a stainless steel pot, but that it is thin quality. I wish manufacturers would make interchangeable pots. They must do it on purpose, because the difference is undetectable visually. So, if you have electric pressure silicone gasket failure, and gaskets failing to hold a seal, you may be using the wrong insert.

Very happy with this buy great for cooking food with bones etc I ruined a non stick one because I put bones in it and the scratched a lot of non stick paint from it
