Bosch GA50DC 4-1/2 In. to 5 In. Small Angle Grinder Dust Collection Attachment

Bought this to attach to Bosch angle grinder that I put a cutting disc on to cut an old fiberglass shower pan. I had no ventilation and had it hooked up to a Bosch Dust Extractor. I have to say it worked great and collected probably 99% of the dust. There was nothing in the air and only the smell of the fiberglass being heated as it was cut. Worth every penny if you are doing indoor work and trying to cut back on dust. It fit the angle grinder perfectly and didn't add much weight. Great product.

Fits my 5" Bosch grinder perfectly, and works pretty flawlessly, capturing between 90–98% of grinding dust, depending on the nature of the cut. It far outperformed my expectations in this regard. It also enhances safety. The only drawbacks are, primarily, that it limits the depth of cut and, second, that it can make the grinder a bit awkward to hold in certain positions. But most of the time these are very acceptable faults, as the near-total dust collection makes certain jobs possible (especially jobs indoors) that you just couldn't do otherwise. It's not cheap, especially compared to other dust hoods, but I can't imagine another one working as well as this. (I've never used another.) For cutting-grinding jobs; face-grinding unfortunately requires a dust shroud of a different design.

Thought this was going to be awesome but, not so much. I had to cut stucco out to install a patio cover on the back of my house and bought this to use on my bosch grinder. Ended up just free handing it because I couldn't get the depth of cut I needed. Seems to be well built.

Works very well at keep dust from cutting under control. The only issue is the dust hood will limit how close to a wall or ceiling you are able to cut.

I bought this to cut up some of the concrete floor in my garage. I put this shroud on a Bosch GWS 10-45P angle grinder and it fit fine. I'm not sure what other people mean by saying it's loose and unstable. I'll have to check mine. I did also have to buy the Bosch hose for this, which is an added expense. There's a tiny bit of dust when you plunge in to start the cut, but then there is 0 dust when the wheel is all the way in and the shroud is on the floor. One thing to note though, is that taking the wheel off when you have the shroud on is a real pain. The shroud opens like Pac Man, and I've busted my knuckles on one side of the shroud when the nut breaks loose. I've started to wear gloves with padded knuckles and it's not bad, but just be careful with that.

Absolutely fantastic addition to my angle grinder when attached to Bosch 18v vacuum. Virtually no dust escaping while cutting stone and concrete pavers . Really works !

I needed to cut through foundation wall, without filling house with cement dust. I wanted to make slices, especially on edges, before hitting with hammer drill. This worked amazingly well, connected to shop vac. You lose a lot of depth with this thing on your grinder, but literally NO dust escaped.

Best accessory I have ever purchased. No matter what you are cutting this thing really reduces the mess.

I recently had our house rewired and decided to do all the wall chanelling. I purchased this shroud for my corded Bosch angle grinder, in an attempt to eradicate brick/plaster dust. It was also cheaper than buying a dedicated wall chaser. The shroud is nicely put together, and is made from quality materials. It's incredibly easy to install on my angle grinder, and the depth gauge is accurate and simple to set. There is a small set of wheels to the base of the shroud, which makes moving the angle grinder whilst cutting really easy. They also really help to keep a straight line. A small amount of dust escapes when initially cutting in, but once your in, it's incredibly clean and dust-free. A good quality dust extractor/vac is obviously imperative, for it to work properly. As far as I am aware, this product is only compatible with Bosch angle grinders. I am delighted with this product, and would highly recommend it.

I bought this GA50DC because it was reasonably priced, looked well designed and now that I have it I am very impressed by the quality. It fit perfectly on my bosch GWS 13-50PD grinder (after following the installation instructions very closely), and I honestly don't think you could ask for a better design. You can control the depth of cut in 2.5mm increments, from 0 up to 25 mm, using a 5" disc, and the dust containment design is the best I have seen in the market. It has wheels that roll along and little arrow point blade indicators at the front and back of the shroud to tell you exactly where the blade will be cutting for precise work. It is very robust and well built and there is absolutely no worries of it wiggling loose when installed on a compatible Bosch Grinder. It is perfect, but be advised it will only work with Bosch Grinders, and not all of them at that. Pay very close attention to the product details, and even visit the manufacturer website to find out if your Bosch grinder is compatible or not before you buy either. For me, it was worth it to buy the bosch grinder, just to fit this shroud, even though I have 2 other grinders already that would have achieved much poorer results with generic designed "one size fits some" shrouds. I feel safe using this product and trust that the design cannot be improved , it is flawless.

Purchased this along with a compatible Bosch angle grinder. Absolutely fabulous. Used this with a 1/4" diamond crack chaser wheel for cutting concrete cracks on my basement floor. Therefore, indoors. This shroud is a MUST. Almost no dust in the air whatsoever. It hooked up to my old Shop Vac. I forgot to turn on the vac once when cutting and was treated to a cloud of concrete dust. Quickly switched it on, and the dust was gone. Tried a universal shroud and it didn't fit my Canadian Tire Maximum angle grinder. Took them both back and purchased Bosch shroud and compatible angle grinder. Two thumbs up!.
