What does this taste like? Bitter? Earthy? Yucky?

Can't answer the question, mixed with several other herbs. For me, my combination is very yucky.

Where is this sourced from? Thanks

Info from Healthline: Cascara sagrada is an herbal remedy that used to be a common ingredient in some over-the-counter (OTC) laxatives. The bark comes from a tree called the California buckthorn. This tree grows on the West Coast of the United States and parts of South America.

What are some of the health benefits of this?

Moves the bowels without cramping like Senna leaf does. Very bitter though.
