decent suspenders
I wanted heavy duty rugged suspenders that were all leather with none of that stretchy elastic material. I also wanted them to have a nice appearance and not look like dedicated work suspenders. These were the only ones to fit that criteria for me. The brownish burgundy color is very rich and the chrome buckles and hardware look nice and function well. I had no problem adjusting these suspenders. The range is accommodating from small to large. They can quickly be attached and removed once the loop attachments have been installed on your belt, by using the clasps, for bathroom breaks and such. Four loop attachments are included (one kit). I bought these for casual wear so I removed the heavy shoulder pads. The process is easy. (1) unbuckle both front straps. (2) slide the horizontal chest strap down and off. (3) slide the shoulder pads off. (4) reinstall the chest strap and make up the buckles. Done. You could also slide them off the back by removing the round strap guide (thing) which is how I did it because the chest strap was so tight, I did not think it was supposed to move. It has loosened up some. In the picture the horizontal chest strap appears to be riveted on, but on my suspenders you can slide it and adjust the height. It is tight and requires some force to move, so it does not flop down. I would have actually preferred a chest strap that attached with clamps (clamps that would not scar the leather). That way you could install and remove the chest strap fast, as desired. Mine uses leather loops for attachment. It seems feasible that these loops could loosen as the leather stretches to the point where the strap might fall down, but I could be wrong. They seem a little expensive, but there is nothing really to compare them with. When you actually break these suspenders down into their seperate components there is not a lot to them, but what are you going to do make them yourself (c'mon). They were delivered fast right to my front door by Fed Ex. They can be a little restricting but that is the nature of suspenders. I recently removed the chest strap which makes them a lot more comfortable, but now they have a tendency to migrate down my shoulders a little. They need semi-frequent repositioning. Removing the chest strap would probably not be practical for working applications. As these suspenders break in and soften I can foresee them becoming very comfortable. These are the first pair of suspenders that I have ever owned and I really like them. Everything that It wrote is truthful to Its experierce. This is only Its opinion. Yours may be completely different. If yours is different, It sorry. Ignore It. Taste is subjective. You only live once. Good luck.

Rugged leather, no stretch, and feel strong, and durable.
First set of suspenders ever purchased and owned, and have worn them since day one, and work very well. These suspenders I use for my work pants that seem to feel like there made from a heavy material, Which is why is why purchased these suspenders. Now I'm trying to find out the best overall way to break them in without destroying them . Aside from that these suspenders are really nice.

Cry once; buy once.
These are amazing. It feels as if I can hold 100kg of tools off them. I didn’t buy them for that though. I had been wearing suspenders instead of belts for a year or so now and after getting fed up with carhartt, I thought I’d buy something nice. They are very well made and well engineered for purpose and off purpose. Wifey thinks I look more handsome in them so there’s that. They are jangly and “how the frig do I adjust these?” But once dialed in, they are comfy on my 6’ 118kg frame. Edit and addendum: They are so nice looking that I get asked where I got them from repeatedly. I should get a commission. :;)

Quality
Any good carpenter knows that’s this brand is the way to go and let me tell you they are so comfortable and light weight leather with padding like Jezzz what can I say they’re built to last I pack my belt with a bunch of crap and I can say it hold up nicely and doesn’t make your shoulders hurt or your back so the weight is evenly distributed. The installation of the item was super easy a middle schooler can assemble em. The fit is great I’m a 6 ‘2 big guy and they’re comfortable to use all day long. They’re pretty stretchy they just last I’ve had em for a while now and they still look brand new I use em every single day and I can seem to find anything to complain about. I highly recommend to buy these. The only thing that sucks is the price but for what you get it’s worth it.

Made for big people!
Ironworker welder here, and I bought these cause I'm getting sick of toting around 5lbs of rod amongst other shit on my belt while I'm climbing around. I'm kinda little so the weight adds up quick, and holy crap these are huge! I realize they're made for bigger dudes, but still. I'm 5'5" and 125lbs, average torso. Initially I was worried that the chest clip would sit weird over my tits (DD cup here), and it does but it's highly adjustable. The shoulder pads are super stiff and wide, so unless you're a big dude or don't plan on reaching above your head, then they're probably just fine. I'll probably soak them in water before I go into work on Monday so they'll break in a little faster. They're rather obnoxious, but almost necessary if your bolt bag is full lol. I had to punch a couple new holes, and ended up cutting off about a foot of the straps. So if you're little like me, keep a leather punch or something similar in your bag for when they start to wear in. The leather is very stiff, but good quality for the price, which is why I still gave them 4 stars. Will update my review after some use, and another item added to the list for my impending women's work clothing line, of work clothes, boots, and other stuff that will be made for actual WORK. Update: Upgraded to 5 stars. Worth every penny, just buy them!

Great quality and fit
Comfortable. Fit nearly perfectly straight out of the box. Good thick, heavy leather. Shearling on shoulder straps would be a major improvement. The wool padding is too stiff. Comments about back strap slipping are absolutely insane the fit is so tight it’s a struggle to adjust. I’ll probably just punch in a brass rivet to the back support once I fine tune my feel. Built perfectly to work with the stronghold belt system.

Quality, durability
Great for the job. Leather too, so no micro plastics in my water. Thanks PETA.

Decent suspenders
I've used this for about 6 months now. I have found these to extremely durable, and made to extremely high standards. The big issue I have with these are the shoulder pads. Basically, they are fairly thick and stiff, meaning that there are a couple of spots on the edge of the pads over the shoulder blades that rub. It isn't super noticeable if you are wearing a sweater, or if it isn't hot out.

Sturdy and comfortable
I'm a reinforcing ironworker and these straps are the best I've ever owned. My gear gets pretty heavy sometimes carrying stuff in my bolt bags, and these things have settled and softened into the perfect fit after only 2 weeks. The padding is very nice for packing bar too, and they seem to stay dry/dry out fast after long sweaty days on the slab. Finally had the money to purchase a set and half of my crew is now considering these as an addition to their gears. Worked with lots on forming guys who swore by them so I gave them a shot and I'm so glad I did. One of the best work purchases I've ever made. Great quality for a reasonable price. Save your back and hips and invest, people. You'll thank yourself later.

Well made
Sturdy, stiff leather will always soften to perfection while soft leather will weaken with time, let me tell you this is a once in a lifetime purchase as this leather is superb! Beautiful, strong and well designed for ease of use these work suspenders will hold up to decades of on the job wear and heavy tools. The shoulder straps are adjustable but could have had more holes to adjust even further, I used my leather punch to get the right fit for my body Overall very worthwhile purchase

Well crafted work suspenders
Sturdy, simple and well made work suspenders. I’m using it with a Zakco tool belt and it fits perfectly. Now I can carry more heavy tools, drivers, etc. without loosing my working pants! ;0) After twelve days of work 10 hours a day, I’m very pleased with them. They are confortable and I didn’t have sore shoulders. The shoulder straps should have had more holes. I had to make a few more and I had to cut the extra strap unfortunately. I don’t use the chest strap but I’m sure it is useful for other people. Great product.
