Ironton Heavy-Duty Platform Dolly - 1,000-Lb. Capacity, 30in.L x 18in.W

Needed a solid base dolly that could handle a lot of weight and not take up much space. This dolly was the best for how much weight it could carry given the dimensions of the base. Most dollies have handles that don't fold down or that block the platform when folded down so we went with this no handle type. This photo shows one way we have used it so far --- we can load heavy items from car to container strapped on dolly and then simply store dolly/load under a table in the craft room (saves one whole round of lifting heavy stuff).I used my own cargo strap as a pulling handle and it worked well enough but not having hands directly on the load does allow the dolly to sway in all directions as the wheels spin so be careful if you use a strap or rope to pull it. For bulky loads or tall things, I would say a second person and straps should be used for maximum safety. Overall, a great product.

Using this to set our outdoor propane fire pit on. It was difficult moving our fire pit around on the deck and this works like a charm. Very solid and well made.

Good quality, better price. Perfect size for use with a standard 4-drawer vertical filing cabinet.
