Great support with limited longevity
These wired ice grips have been fantastic on my Altberg walking boots in the snow and solid ice. I have walked ten miles a day on roads and pavements, on the flat, up hill and down hill with no slip issues. However after four days on these terrains, approx 40 miles, the rubbers have worn and wires have dislodged, which is what you’d expect walking on the local streets and roads. For the £8 I paid and to allow me to cover the mileage I have in one piece without slipping I think is excellent value. Spikes are more expensive and greater valve, but are not suited to street and road ice walking, where the levels of snow and ice vary.

Very good but don’t last
These were great at start, good grip on the snow/ice, then fell apart at the front!

A must in icy weather
I bought these due to snow here in Scotland this week. I wanted to be able to take my dog out. Roads and pavements don't get gritted here so we had snow, which iced over, then more snow. Today it was minus 4 when we went out. These boot grips were absolutely brilliant. I felt so confident, at 70 years of age, walking on undulating icy and snowy ground. They were easy to put on my boots and will fit any shoe. So glad I got them. They were recommended by a Canadian friend so that sold them to me. If you are thinking about them. Get them. They give you your freedom in horrible icy cold spells and enable you to take the dog for a walk. Snow???? Pffft

Walk without fear in the ice
These are brilliant in icy weather and I carry them throughout winter to avoid being caught out. After falling year after year and landing on my ass I decided fashion was no longer a primary consideration! In fairness they aren't hugely noticeable on sturdy shoes. They are hugely effective Annfield the grip gives me confidence to walk without fear. Fit great over my trainers and ready to use

Buy Yaktrax instead of this garbage.
Do not waste your money on this garbage!.. after about 15 minutes the "highly resistant stretchy and durable rubber that won't snap" ....SNAPPED. I would highly recommend purchasing the far superior (and only slightly more expensive) Yaktrax cleats which also features a velcro securing strap to prevent them flying off, as was the case with these awful waste of hard-earned cash

Ok for snow not ice.
These are ok but absolutely no use on ice

Protects you from falling and slipping outdoors only
Very good in the snow and ice, however they do slip a bit when on polished floors for some reason so best to wear for outdoors only.

besteld voor IJsland, bij aantrekken het eerste rubber al gebroken, na half uurtje wandelen over ijs en sneeuw andere ook gesneuveld, gaat hier weg en worden door mij nooit meer gekocht. Zeer slecht materiaal !!
