Magic sauce for seedlings! So safe it can be used on any plants and seems to benefit everything I've used it on (salvias, pansy, villas, marigolds, snapdragons, begonia, geranium, etc al)! This fertilizer is rather difficult to find, but it's worth the hunt. Many of the speakers we've had come to our orchid society have recommended this fertilizer, which was first promoted by Michigan State University. The calcium and magnesium supplements appear necessary for proper orchid development. We use it one-fourth to one-half recommended strengty monthly during the growing season.

I have been watering my plants with reverse osmosis water and a different fertilizer for many years. Before using this, I had started having issues with a few cattleyas producing new growth that promptly turned black. I believed it to be a nutrient deficiency, and was right. After using this fertilizer, they are now producing new, healthy growth! I will continue to purchase this product!

Using this on my orchids and I found that the ph levels dropped dramatically. I started out with 7 ph using ro water added the fertilizer at 1/4 tsp for a gallon and the level dropped to 4.5. Don't want to correct using other chemicals like ph up, too much of a hassle. I can't say how this will work with your tap water but please check your ph.

Orchid growers always recommend 15-5-15 fertilizer 3 - 4 times/year from March thru Sept. Following the instructions will produce healthy growth.

This stuff has done wonders for my orchids. The sellers are great people as well. They even threw in some free time release fertilizer for my orchids. Can't beat that!
