Strong alcoholic taste but provides relirf from coughing for a little while.

Soothing yes, expectorant so so.
Pleasant enough to take and fairly soothing, but so far the expectorant aspect isn't showing up very much and after taking it for 4 days it hasn't shifted much mucus from my lungs, hopefully it will clear soon so I can avoid a chest infection.
