The hole is big if u r using it to rotate the other rod to life the jack.
If your car jack rotating rod is like the modern ones which most cars have nowadays (spanner acts as one part and second part is one with the hook to rotate the jack) then u will find it difficult to use this. It will help with the wheel nuts removal but not useful for using it for rotating the jack. I should have returned it but could not for some reason. I will have to do some jugaad to use it as jack rod or buy another one. Build quality seems good.
