Telephone Patching Expansion Board, 47609-EMP, White

Bought a new house that had obsolete wiring. New location were required and the coax cable was out our date as well as the phone lines. So we updated with Cat 5e and new triple shielded coax for high speed data capacity. That said, we chose Leviton for the structured media center and very happy with their products, in particular their Product Support staff. I cannot say enough about how qualified and professional they all are; they are knowledgable and know their product. Most importantly though, they were very patient on the phone in responding to all my questions to where all was clear with what I had asked about. For me, being able to reach customer support without being put on hold or to just get someone to answer the call (usually it's; "I'm away from my desk right now and I'll call you right back....) and or to be able to TALK with customer support ~ not e-mail the problem ~ is of great value. Additionally, Leviton has their own YouTube channel to reference, which provides an excellent starting point for what is being worked on as well as "how to". There are less expensive products to choose from, but having a product that the manufacturer stands behind and is willing to help non-professionals it is worth the difference in price. Lastly, you can piece together different manufactured products to achieve the same goal, but by staying with the same source things match up and if there is a problem you have only one phone call to make....well worth it in my opinion.

Great product to split you phone to multiple rooms.

1 with 1 FXO 1 FXS 1 with 2 FXS FED My POTS Landline into the FXO, set my free home phone g-voice to the FXS port on ata 1 Programmed T.38, toll free biz & local dial lines to ata 2 PLUGGED a 6” phone cord from each of the 3 FXS ports into a 4X RJ11 in to 1X RJ45 out, plugged cat6 into the out port, cut off the other end of the cat6 patch & stripped & punched to the 110 on this. Then ran patch cables from the RJ45 ports on this to ports on my 12 port panel & now all my numbers can ring throughout the house.

Used this product to replace my parents rats nest of splicing lines together. The product is designed to fit into their media box, but not easily used by itself. Had to find a nail that was thin enough to fit through the holes to secure to the wall. Beyond that, the product was easy once hung to connect to and splice the main line into 6 connections. I didn't want to try messing with the connection bridge at the top, so I plugged the main into one of the 7 slots.

Worked perfected for adding new phone line, and adding new lines to bedrooms.

Great product quality. The expansion board fits inside a Leviton box very well. We use three (3) of all of the ports with no problems to date (more than 6 months).

simple design, easy to use, includes punch tool if you do not have one. Easy to connect main line in. Support frame is also available.

Installed this board in my Leviton Structured Media Enclosure. Everything works as described and my media enclosure is now organized.
