I have been giving my small dog one of these in a pill pocket for a little over a month. I then wait one hour before feeding him since this supplement works best on an empty stomach or with a small bite of food just to get the pill in him. After a few weeks he was drinking less water and didn't seem as bloated. He started waging his tail more and seemed more alert. And it just keeps getting better. I do not give him any drugs since those made him worse. I also give him 3 mg of melatonin at night. The SAM-e does take a few weeks to start to work, but then it just keeps on getting better. I have tried so many supplements for him, but this one is the best. If your vet says your dog has an enlarged liver this is what will help. Humans and animals can heal when given the right nutrients. These liver supplements were recommended by my vet when my 16-year old Jack Russell was showing his age. He’s been taking them for well over a year and they seem to be helping. These pills are pretty large and if he manages to chew one open he immediately spits it out. So I highly recommend covering it in peanut butter. Works like a charm!

I really want everyone to know that this product works wonders for my dog, the down side is that the pill is very difficult for my small dog to swallow, I've tried every thing, from coating the pill with butter, peanut butter. It's very difficult. After about 3 to 4 trys we finally manage to get the pill swallowed. The food coloring of the pill is all over my hands, Yuck. I can't imagine trying this with a cat. Unfortunately I will be purchasing another brand that I can crush and put in his food, so he won't be terrified any more.

It really helped our dog

On our vet's recommendation, this medicine is to replace a prescription medicine he has not been able to restock for whatever reason. This medication is vital to her health and the 90 mg SAMe is exactly what the vet was prescribing for my 6 pound chihuahua. The 10 count blister packs makes it easy to dispense in exactly the same way. She will go back for blood tests in a couple of months but finding this med is literally a life saver for her.

I can’t say if it works or not because I clearly didn’t read the ingredients but when I received the product and read the ingredients it has red #40, yellow #5, and blue #2. Why are we putting dyes in anything? I unfortunately had opened two pills in one of the packages but will be returning the second package I purchased. Based on this alone I do not recommend this product.

The package was opened. Three of the pills were popped through. I was going to return it but my dog is ill and needed it so I only am using the unopened portion. Very disappointed

I was using their chewable supplements daily. They were not lowering the liver values to where they should be so we started giving her these in addition. Our pup is 13 pounds and eight years old. We give her half a tablet a day, as well as half a chewable. Together they are doing the trick. We are so thankful.
