Great value, strong magnets
I needed one magnet for a crossbody bag that I made for myself. I bought this bundle because it was a good value. It sewed easily into my project and the magnet is plenty strong even through several layers of fabric to hold my purse closed when in use. I have only used the one set so far but plan to use these for many more craft projects.

Useful to sew onto the base of your curtains or shower curtain to keep in place
These are great! You can sew or maybe even fabric glue these onto the edges and bottom of your curtains. Add a regular magnet to the wall or window for the magnet on your curtains to stick to, and no more fly away curtains on a breezy day. Since we live full time in our RV and travel the USA, I have to find ways to make life simpler. Part of this is curtains as they bring in a homey feel. However, when our windows are open, we have curtains flapping, which I don’t want. I keep a variety of magnets in different sizes on hand. I can use Alien tape or glue to stick the magnets to the wall or window frame. All that is needed is to sew on these magnets in plastic (You will need a strong and sharp needle and string thread), then line up the magnets you’ve sewed on, to the magnets you stick on the wall or window frame. No more curtains flapping around! Some folks use these for purse or bag closures as well. There are a variety of uses, and I’ve found these magnets in plastic to be sturdy when sewed on. They’re very versatile, , easy to use, a perfect size, and a good value.

WOW!! ARE THESE STRONG!!
WOW!! These darn things are STRONG. Not kidding. I bought them for curtains I’m going to sew. The curtains will go under an 1880’s ceramic/steel sink in a museum/home kitchen. Instead of curtains on a rod-system, I wanted to sew magnet into the top-seam and let the fabric hang from behind the sink’s edge. From other reviews I trusted their strength. I took one from the package to pull a set apart. It was nearly impossible. They are that strong. They are perfect. The magnet size is shown in my photo. The material of the casing around it is like a shower curtain. I am not sure my machine needle will take that kind of constant punishment. I’ll sew around them. VERY VERY SATISFIED.

Perfect for curtains
I ordered these magnets to add to the inside seam of my toddlers blackout curtains, to help them close together in the middle. They work perfectly. I just had to make sure I put them in the right direction so that the magnets stick together well.

Work well.
*tip for installing: the magnets will stick to your machine and it'll drive you nuts. I taped a folded index card over the metal needle plate, to the left of my foot. It helped immensely. Otherwise, your project won't want to move because it is a strong magnet.* Have made 2 bags with these so far and I feel good about the result. My grandma is getting older and has been looking for a purse that's really lightweight and has an easy to use closure that she doesn't have to fight. Since I made her bag from (interfaced) quilting cotton, I added a little more fabric (on the inside) to reinforce but also reduce the power of the magnetic connection. Because they are quite powerful without anything, or with very little, between them.

Seems a good product.. Not quite sure if appropriate for me..
These are a magnets encased in stiff plastic similar to a package of pills or medicine capsules. You can sew the whole thing to the garment using the plastic housing. If they are placed I dont know let's call it front to front they are quite strong; and would be appropriate for a jacket or coat or perhaps a totem bag of substantial fabric. My idea is to try some other configuration, so they can be used on a rather delicate cardigan sweater to eliminate gaps between fancy decorative buttons. I am thinking I may also add some dummy buttons when I sew the magnets in, to also disguise the square shape of the plastic "casing".

alternate way
I used these magnet for hanging hand towels in the kitchen. They are very strong magnet. However, the plastic cases turned hard and cracked within 6 months!!! Now i have to pulled all of them off the towels and it was not easy.

These are impressive!
Pretty strong magnets. Perfect for my application, a light neoprene fabric purse. Easy to sew in place, covered in plastic with a good margin, so you can stitch and have no corrosion concerns (fingers crossed!) Make sure the material you are applying these too with has some strength to it, or it can become difficult to decouple the magnets, because of their strength. Highly recommend!
