I got this to check cash to ensure it was legit (the markings on bills that only show up under UV light) and it works great. We also have cats and we wanted to see if we could find where they sprayed. Research indicates you need the 356-370nm light spectrum for this, so we picked this torch. It does detect cat urine. Apparently dog urine requires a higher nm number, not sure why, but haven't tested that. It seems a bit dimmer than I would have hoped, but it is LED and runs off one battery. If you need something super bright, would maybe recommend something with more power.

Excellent little torch, only uses 1 AA battery and produces a very bright light. My previous UV torch used 6(!) and ran out very quickly. Perfect for finding cat pee, although I was shocked at how filthy my kitchen walls were! Excellent value for money, would highly recommend.

Purchased this torch specifically for crystals. Does the job for what I need it for although could be a bit stronger/brighter maybe? I use it on the smallest beam size to get a better effect as the glow on the stones doesn’t show up as strong otherwise. For the price I can’t really complain though! (All the stones in the picture contain ruby for anyone who’s interested!)

I bought this for searching for scabies burrows in skin, luckily we confirmed a negative diagnosis. (It's strange that GPs rely on guesswork instead of using UV or ink tests for this). The UV has a bit of visible light but it's powerful enough for being useful as long as it's not bright daylight. I also successfully used it for detecting dog urine on our sofa and carpet. (Don't worry, no dog was hurt as a result 😊.) The zoom function works very well, you can focus the light instead of getting closer, the widest angle setting is not bright enough from over 1 yard.

Nice hand sized torch that I use to check items I've marked. Seems good quality.

Good quality 365nm UV torch. Doesn't look particularly bright -but then UV light shouldn't look bright to the human eye! Great for my purposes -uranium glass, fluorescent minerals etc. The zoom lens concentrates the beam and means you can spotlight fluorescent things from across a room even in daylight. I would recommend this torch.

LOVE this torch. You can have a narrow or a wide beam. Great flashing SOS feature which would be great if I fell in the woods on a dog walk. Small enough to slip in a pocket but a powerful beam.

The light has almost nothing to do with the UV 365nm. In practice, it is useless. You can see something but this ism not what you would expect from the flashlight that claims to be UV 365

The perfect small, rugged UV light. It feels weighty and solid in the hand. It turned right on when I opened it. I just wish it were a little brighter for using it in brightly lit places where you can’t turn the lights off. It’s super easy to turn on and focus though, and I love that it’s small enough that I can attach it to my keys for hunting for uranium glass in thrift shops. It also shows dust and residue very well so I could see it being perfect for finding uncleaned spots in hotels, bathrooms, etc. It also just looks cool and tactical attached to your keys. It doesn’t seem to get too hot either, just slightly warm. I highly recommend this mini UV flashlight for glass collectors, mechanics, or inspectors, just be aware that it’s not as bright as high grade ones and performs best in the dark.

I bought this flashlight to help track down the source of an oil leak. Oil glows brightly in the presence of this light. The flashlight isn’t bright enough to use in direct sunlight, but is in a dull room. The flashlight seems like it is solidly built and well made. It requires 1 AA battery, which was included.
