Code Geass the Complete Series contains anime episodes 1-25 of Season 1 Lelouch of the Rebellion and episodes 1-25 of Lelouch of the Rebellion R2. The year is 2017 of the Imperial calendar and parts of the world are uner the control of the Holy Britannian Empire. Lelouch Lamperouge, an exiled Britannian prince, encounters a strange girl known as C.C., who gifts him with a great and terrible power. The Geass. With this powerful ability, Lelouch can get anyone to do as he wills. But the power of Geass: is it a blessingor a curse? Review: Fun show, amazing ending - The product is exactly as described, it contains the full Code Geass series. There are many discs packed tightly in one single Bluray case, so you need to be very careful when handling it so as not to scratch any of them. It has the original Japanese voices on it as well as the English dub, so you get to choose in which language you want to listen to. Personally I prefer the Japanese voice actors a bit more but, one downside to it is that the English dub is selected by default on my player. I have to manually pause the video as soon as I open it on each new episode and manually switch the audio channel to the Japanese audio and activate the English subtitles (I watch it on the PC). Absolutely stunning series. Plot is amazing in season 1, semi-decent in season 2 and the ending is stellar. It has the most memorable anime ending, in my opinion. Perfect closing to a perfect story. It has mecha battles, amazing characters, character growth and many plot twists on each and every turn. The world building takes its time but you really get to grow into their Universe, slowly and become attached even to some of the characters. There are only a couple of episodes which I personally find boring. Those are the high school ones in which the characters have to interact in the usual high school setting but, with that said, it's simply just high school comedy with very little romcom elements in it. It doesn't really match the feel of the series in my opinion but you can count those episodes on one hand only so it's not much (in a 24+ episode series, it's really not that much). All in all, great product! Review: Bandai + CLAMP = Brilliant! - Wow. There is so much to say about this series, I don't even know where to start! Perhaps the best thing about it is that it combined the minds of Bandai, a video game company that brought us great titles, like .Hack and Gundam, and the artists of CLAMP in a wonderfully complex story about love, revenge, war, life, and the choices that drive our futures. The art is amazing, and I was surprised to find that I didn't even mind the obvious addition of Mecha. (I normally dislike Mecha, because writers often sacrifice plot for fighting-robot scenes.) I am glad to say that this is not the case with Code Geass. For me, watching this series was an experience. It is fascinating to watch these multi-layered characters making decisions that will shape the futures of these around them--and to think, they are still in high school! These characters have great depth, and the plot reflects their interactions well. I enjoyed seeing the motivations for each come to light little by little, and how observing those motivations made others react to the charismatic characters of Zero/Lelouch Vi Britannia and Kururuugi Suzaku. The end of this great series leaves you with more questions than it answers, but the openness to its interpretation fits perfectly with the rest of the series. And it incorporates Mecha, School-Life, Love stories, Revenge, War, Politics, Magic and several other genres so it will appeal to a wider audience. This is a very reflective play, forcing the watchers to delve deeper into what makes us 'human', and brings to light many of those deeper questions that most people try to avoid. In short, this is entirely brilliant, right up there with Alexander Senki/Reign the Conqueror as far as thinking goes. I would recommend this to anyone who has reached their majority, and wishes to enjoy something grand!

the series is awesome. but this box set sucks
the series is awesome. but this box set sucks. don't get it. even though its suppose to be brand new you will probably open the box to find all of the disc extremely scratched up. plus bandai entertainment went out of business a while ago so they probably aren't legit. eventually funimation will re release the series so just be patient

FIVE STARS
I did something really stupid going into watching this...I bought this Season One collection before knowing barely anything about this series. BUT I loved it nonetheless! It was a great series and has everything I love in a show. It's smart, pretty and the character's are all interesting...well most of them anyways. The best part of this show in my opinion is that they don't waste your time on the immature dumb characters that are weeded throughout most animes...well they kind of do but only to remind you that Lelouch is still in school (I think). I loved the character dynamics and that they keep C.C. and the Geass power a mystery throughout the 1st season. The only terribly cliche thing about this anime is the relationship between Lelouch and Suzaku but that grows on you; the more you learn about Suzaku's past the less cliche it feels (at least for me). The mecha action is very well done it reminds me of the Gundam 00 mecha strategic form of battles...which is a good thing (in my opinion...mainly because I am not a total meacha douche who thinks that all the great mecha animes were decades ago). I loved this anime and so did my wife, which was surprising. I would highly recommend this series; it has a little of everything List of Everything: School environment Dark pasts Moral issues tits (if you really watch anime for that...I feel sorry for you) romantic interests political war violent indiscriminate war mysterious supporting character Giant robots blowing the crap out of each other Strategery (as Bush would call it) Point is the show is really good; it's not just for mecha fans. Hope this was at least semi-helpful. leave comments if you want to disagree or agree or ask questions? Thanks for reading. _Nick

The product arrived four days before the estimated delivery date. The box was slightly damaged, so the package would have greatly benefited from having some bubble wrap to protect it during delivery. As others have stated, it is a region code B disc and not region-free, so it will not be functional in the Americas and a large majority of Asia, just something to be aware of. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, and the show is great, of course.

One of my favourites it blends drama and mecha action very well at first i thought it was going to be another typical mecha anime but boy was i surprised the story follows lelouch who leads a rebellion against Britannia who has conquered japan and subjugated the populace. The story is set in a alternate universe where Britain is the modern super power instead of the usa fantastic story music and characters and really top notch animation i highly recommend this.

I bought from Amazon UK, a Region B printing of the series. For years Code Geass has been completely unavailable here in Australia without the use of a VPN or resorting to DVD or overpriced Blu-Ray on the secondary market so to find a more recent release in a region code I could use was nothing short of a miracle. It works flawlessly and comes in a beautiful slipcover.
