I am so impressed with Amoretti’s Sweet Corn Extract! The flavor is incredibly authentic—sweet, fresh, and natural—just like real corn. A little goes a long way since it’s highly concentrated, which makes it a great value for the quality. I’ve used it in pastries, ice creams, cornbread, and even savory dishes, and it adds the perfect touch every time. It’s also amazing for brewing and creative cocktails! If you are on Keto or Low Carb and want to make "cornbread" from almond flour and you want it to take like cornbread, then this product might be for you. I am not happy with the price for what you get, though, so next time I will look for a more reasonably priced version of this "essence of corn" or "corn extract" product (I had not heard of such a product before I ordered this - and I am only a sometimes baker). This made my fake cornbread actually taste good, so for that reason I am giving this 4 stars (1 star deduction for the poor value of this product). Note that I really have nothing to compare this to other than my subjective idea of what tastes good to me, so your millage may vary.

Cornbread taste so real

I got this to make a keto-friendly “cornbread” using almond flour instead of cornmeal. It definitely gives a sweet corn taste, but makes it taste too sweet for me. I wish I had gotten the popcorn flavor instead. It is ridiculously expensive, but a little goes a long way.

I have been following a ketogenic diet for the past 5 years. When I first began, recipes were limited and most, or at least many provided an opportunity to throw nasty food into the trash. As the Keto community has continued to grow, amazingly creative foodies have published acceptable to outstanding ketofied recipes for nearly any craving a person might have. I happened to order this corn flavoring with the intention of making a ketogenic version of tamales. This product proved to be an essential ingredient in the recipe - which turned out to be absolutely delicious and It made my almond flour and mozzarella cheese based masa taste exactly like it was fashioned from the traditional corn based recipe. I DID increase the amount to taste - the recipe called for 2 tsps. and I increased the amount to 3 tsps. - so well past the shoulder on the little bottle. Unfortunately, this stuff is rather pricey! I wonder WHY? Star rating - 5 stars for flavor, 1 or less for value - so overall 3 stars, even though it works like magic.

Although pricy, it is so worth it. I'm able to enjoy low carb cornbread with chili again. The taste was perfect, not fake or overpowering.

I live a keto lifestyle and up until now have not been having many substitutions for the old standard American diet food. I decided to try this Sweet Corn Extract to make something close to cornbread. This one product alone made a big difference. I used it in making Stufflers (with the Presto Stuffler) with a keto recipe using pork rinds and some other ingredients. It even smelled like cornbread was baking! I think this flavor is right on, excellent product!

I love this product! I use it on the keto diet as a substitute for "corn bread"
